Plug it in, Plug it in By A20QR0PQ4EJA0E on 2009-07-07
More than enough outlets for my needs. Have my PS3, 360, Wii, Receiver, Cable box and TV plugged into it. The black is a very nice finish and matches my setup. Like was said before, the blue status LED's are VERY bright. Thinking about moving mine closer to the floor to try and eliminate glare from the LED's. Knowing this did not detour me because this is just a phenomenal price.
How can someone rate a surge protector? By A28CKDVHKPTV8B on 2009-04-21
I would rate this 5 stars if it weren't for the annoying very bright LED voltage status lights. Based on the specs, it's everything a person would want in a console surge protector at about half the price of its competition.
Too Bright By A4EC2NP0PIMC9 on 2009-07-19
First, the one I received is black, not silver. However, that's ideal since it matches most of the rest of my equipment.
I live in an area with uncertain power conditions. When there's a power event, I notice the lights on the front of the unit change so I know the unit is responding. I love that several of the outlets can be completely powered off. This saves energy and also adds an additional level of protection during that time.
The only reason I rated this down to three stars is because the blue LEDs on the front are so bright and glaring that they negatively affect the theater experience. I would have only dropped it one star for this, except Philips' stated purpose with this item is to get the unit off the floor and onto the shelf and the lights make doing so a problem.
awesome! By A3FYPU6ZP0Q1XF on 2009-06-20
was just about to pull the trigger on a monster surge protector then i saw this, bought this instead, got it 2 days ago it came in black. have my 58 inch plasma, and cable box on the "always on" outlets and my ps3, receiver, xbox360 and router on the rest. one thing i dont like about it as well are the blue leds, so i covered it with really thin weather stripping :D
Great Home theater surge protector/power conditioner By A2ZR2W9XFH4ZAV on 2009-06-17
I just received this unit today. It looks great, goes with all my equipment.. got a black one :). Looks sleek and does what it should, protect expensive equipment. I have my 52in Samsung LCD connected to it as well as my PS3 and Comcast cable box. For $50 its a steal, i would gladly pay double this. The retail price is $199 which is still good when compared to monsters low end competing unit which comes in at $299. Forget the surge protector power strips and get this!
