  My son just turned 18 and we got him an 80GB iPod for his birthday. We gave him an eVo4 iSkin case with it, but that thing was a piece of junk. It took forever to get it on. And after it was on, the iPod looked like an alien being from another planet. And my son couldn't dock the iPod in his Luna clock radio while it was in the iSkin case. So we searched around for another case. We wanted something that would protect the iPod from every day wear and tear without going overboard. The DLO HipCase is the perfect solution (at about 1/2 the price!). The iPod fits snugly within this nice leather case. Nice and soft inside. The fold open/fold down flap has a magnetic closure to keep it secure. Easy access to the click wheel, charging port, hold button, and headphone jack. And at night when my son wants to dock the iPod in his clock radio, he can just slip it out of its case. I think the iSkin case would've required a jackhammer to get it out every night. Aside from being very functional, this case also hits a home run in two other areas: 1.) It's very stylish. Very simple design, nice leather, nice belt clip. And 2.) It's very reasonably priced. If I didn't know how much I paid for it, after having seen the case in person and held it, I would've guessed it cost two or even three times more than it did. The DLO HipCase Leather Folio is the perfect companion to the iPod Classic. A classic looking case for a Classic iPod.

  Nice case, soft and very functional. Fits the new Gen 6 80GB and 160GB iPod Classic's perfectly. Found my first one at Office Depot and I am ordering one more from Amazon with a new 160GB Gen 6 iPod Classic to go with it. If you don't care about the belt clip, there are a couple of other brands without it that are similar.

  I purchased this as a gift for an iPod I had also purchased as a gift and was excited to have found a professional-looking leather case that was (by description) going to fit the new, larger generation of iPod classic. However, when I received the product, the box was clearly marked to only fit up to the 80G video iPod -- not the 160G video iPod. Now, it does fit the 160G classic -- only not the video version, which is about the only 160G version on the market right now. As a result, I more or less feel as though I was taken advantage of by Amazon due to the product description not being entirely accurate. I would like to try to get a refund for this item, but the shipping and restocking costs make that option not viable. Just beware of what you are purchasing; it will not fit the 160G video (or 6th generation) iPod. Caveat emptor.

  This is the best case I've ever had for an IPod. The fit for the classic is perfect. The quality is far better than the price would suggest. I hate having plastic over the screen--here the flip protects the screen. It would be nice if the belt clip were removable but I don't care all that much. For an adult, this is a sleek stylish case at a great price. Highly recommended.

  Got this case so i could take it out and put it in the dock easier than one of those rubber cases. The leather is nice and soft. It holds my ipod classic 160g perfectfly and is very secure. The only compaint is that the hole for the wheel is not the full size of the wheel, although it doesn't stop it from being fully functional, just somthing to think about if you have big fingers.

  After getting kinda burned by the XtremeMac IPC-TA6-30 TuffWrap Plus for iPod Classic 160GB - Black/Gray, I decided to give this HipCase a try for my Apple iPod classic 160 GB Black (6th Generation). Success! This case is almost perfect for my needs. I use the iPod while I work around the house, inside and out. I need protection from any drops, sweat, drizzle, etc. The HipCase provides for all of this.
  
  The downsides: there is no protection for the screen/click wheel when the case is flipped open. This was easily remedied by buying a LCD SCREEN PROTECTOR + CLOTH FOR IPOD CLASSIC from eBay. The dock port is always open as well... not good. Again, easily remedied by purchasing a Silicon Dock Plug Protector for IPOD CLASSIC/TOUCH from eBay. Yes, you have to take those extra steps if you REALLY want to be sure your iPod is protected... if the HipCase had included these items, it would be a PERFECT case!

  It is a great case, it fits perfectly, it is not good to protect the ipod of big drops but it looks very nice and you do not have to expend a lot of money. If you are looking for a really protection this product is not for you, it will only protect the ipod for some scratches and you have to have in mind that this case was designed for that propose.

  This is my second case for my iPod Classic. The first one I bought was a complete waste of money. This one is a huge upgrade. It's very stylish but offers adequate protection while allowing access to both the click wheel and the screen. The belt clip does not rotate or detach, but I haven't found that it gets in my way. I like the little magnet in the lid as it keeps the lip closed while your iPod is out of sight on your belt, and therefore gives it a little added protection. I'm satisfied that I got a good value for my money.

  Looks and functions great. Well constructed with quality materials. I like the flip front with a magnetic catch for protection of the screen and the clip on the back is great for securing the case. There is also a pocket on the inside of the flap for storage of flat items.

  For this was not worth the price I paid. In fact it would not be worth it for free. The DLO Hipcase looks and feels great but the belt clip fell off in less than 2 weeks.. So now it still protects the ipod but can no longer be called a hipcase.

  Did not want a big ugly case covering the ipods beautifull design,just wanted something to protect from scratches while in the car or backpack, but still able to remove the ipod to enjoy its "naked" beauty while at home. This fit the bill. The magnet closure it a little weak.

  I've had this case for a few weeks now and am happy to report that it does its job well. It feels solid without being too bulky, and the magnetic catch on the front is an excellent touch. The belt clip is very sturdy as well. I'm very happy with this case and can't think of a thing to improve it.

  This is a great case that fits the Gen6 80G Classic "like a glove". I love the soft leather and the inside has a area to hold Id, money or credit card. You can open it without yanking out the headphones or bud connection because the hole is large enough. No cheap plastic covering the display either, the flap protects it. Can't beat it for the money ! I love it!

  I have no complaints so far. It's classier than the other holders, decent protection for your iPod. One thing you should be advised of: technically, there isn't any protective cover over the video screen; the protective cover is essentially the flap.

  The item showed up and worked great. My only complaint is that Amazon listed the item as in-stock yet took 3 days to process and ship. I got the item a week later.

  This Ipod sleeve is one of the best that I have had for any of my Ipods. It protects the screen when not in use and it gives you the ability to easily control the click wheel. Also, it has a belt clip to carry it on your belt. It also has the openings for charging/syncing and to put the headphones in without hassling with the cover. The cover has a magnet that catches at the bottom of the front of the sleeve. It is well worth the money and the Ipod (160gig classic) fits perfectly in it. It has a nice feel to it too.

  I bought this case at the same time as my iPod. I have a habit of knocking my cell phone against furniture and stuff when I have it on my belt. So I decided to protect the iPod a little better.

  I was a little scared when I got it because it holds closed with a magnet and you're not supposed to put magnets near electrical devises like ipods or computers. I have had it for 2 weeks and have not had any problems with my iPod yet so the magnet must not be strong enough (or the metal case on the iPod must help out somehow?).
