  This is all you need. It is cheaper and equally efficient plus it works with SD and mircoSD memories. I forgot about cables and bluetooth adaptors to move pictures from my camera to my PC, and to move music from my PC to my cell phone.

  Despite the 6-in-1 label, it really only reads standard sized SD/MMC cards natively. To read the smaller formats, you must use one of the adapters that slides the smaller units into a standard SD sized carrier. Then it works fine, but it means you need to mess with an extra piece of hardware.

  This is a neat little thing. It will do the regular size and the mini. I like that part. There is one downfall. You can not delete data while using this. I like to delete pictures I don't like but this thing automatically flips the button to lock when you enter it in. Now I have to do all the deleting from the camera. Plus, you have to remember to "unlock" it when you put it back into your camera. Other than that I love it.

  THIS ITEM IS VERY REASONABLY PRICED...IN FACT I GOT IT FOR ABOUT $10 INCLUDING SHIPPING COSTS IN COMBINATION WITH A HIGH SPEED SD MEMORY CARD.
  
  I TRAVEL TO VISIT MY GRANDCHILDREN FREQUENTLY AND REALLY DON'T LIKE TO TAKE MY CAMERA CABLE BECAUSE I HAVE LOST IT A COUPLE OF TIMES IN THE PAST.
  
  THIS TINY LITTLE GADGET FITS CONVENIENTLY IN A LITTLE CORNER IN MY CAMERA CASE, AND I CAN USE IT TO LEAVE PICTURES WITH MY SONS, FAMILY & FRIENDS OR TO UPLOAD PICTURES TO ONLINE PROCESSING SITES TO ORDER PRINTS. IT ALSO EASILY ALLOWS ME TO TAKE PICTURES FROM THEIR CAMERAS JUST BY PUTTING IN THEIR CARD...MUST HAVE EVERY PICTURE POSSIBLE OF THESE PRECIOUS LITTLE GRANDCHILDREN!

  Doesn't work well with SDHC (>2GB) which is why I brought it. It's a toss up weather it will mount at all and I usually have to try several times. ...also runs really hot. It spontaneously unmounted in the middle of data transfer and killed my card which I had to reformat. I got it for free as a promotion and its easy to see why they are giving these away. You'd be better off spending a little more for a better product.

  Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Tried with Vista and Mac OS X. I plugged in the SD card before plugging the device into the computer's USB port. Used with SanDisk Extreme III 2 GB, and SanDisk microSD 2 GB with SD adapter.

  My husband and I both got one of these for are MP3 Players. We wanted to be able to put more than 150 songs on our players. Awesome deal, great price, and we will now be able to put near 500 songs. These cards were more than $50.00 at Wal-Mart. Not only did we get a Micro SD Card we got a free card reader so we can easily move data from card to computer easily. Huge Bargain! It was such a deal we went back and bought another one a week later. The only problem we had was that there was no paperwork, invoice, or packaging. It came in a plastic case in a plain envelope. Was skeptical but works just fine. We would recommend this product and this company also.

  I ordered this card reader as part of a package (with SD card) to give as a gift. The card reader would not work on their computer. I believe it runs an earlier version of Windows. I contacted seller for help or appropriate drivers to make it work. Their only suggestion was to return it. It may work with xp or vista, but I wouldn't order it for earlier versions.

  I thought I had seen a review from someone that said they couldn't write information to the memory card when using this device, only read from it. Im not sure why they are having problems, I have none with the read or write functions using this unit. I use it to transfer mp3s to a 2GB Sandisk card and play on my garmin gps, and it works perfect.

  I bought this USB reader and a 2gig micro for my cellphone. Both work great and now I can easily swap files between my cell and computer. I can't seem to play videos on my computer recorded from my cell. Can anyone help?

  I am happy with this card reader, except that it is only a 2 in 1, not a 6 in 1, as it was advertised. I will keep it though because it does meet my needs, it's small and seems to work just fine.

  Don't have a 6-in-1 card reader for your Desktop computer? This PnP USB 2.0 Memory Card reader/writer is a fast and easy solution. I purchased it specifically for use with my cell phone's MicroSD memory, after finding out how much their proprietary x-fer software was. It has also come in quite handy with relatives digital cameras, and my Grandparent's digital photo frame.

  The DMS 6-in-1 USB 2.0 High Speed Memory Card Reader Writer is Awesome! Using this with my computer's built in card reader makes a simple drag and drop procedure. It works exactly like a USB drive. On most computers it plugs right in. On others, with recessed USB ports I have had to use a USB extension cord.

  cheap, tiny, portable, functional. works great, no problems [yet]. even has an indicator light to let you know its in use. i use it to connect my cameras SD card to my mac MBP, because the computer wasn't recognizing the camera when i connected it via usb. what an excellent solution to a simple problem! perfect.

  I was very happy to find this offer to get the reader free with the 8GB MicroSD card. I was confused at first because it seemed not to work but I ready a review on this site that said it may not work if the usb port is recessed. I had plugged it in and the light came on but my computer didn't detect it. After reading the review I switched it to a different usb on the back of my laptop and it showed up and was ready to use within 5 seconds. What can I say, it works perfectly and looks pretty cool too. Plus, since it does read standard SD cards it can be used with other cards that I have that are standard size and Digital Media sent the SD adapter for my MicroSD card anyway. Fantastic deal and it got here faster than any of the other stuff I ordered on Amazon.

  Experience was terrible - yes maybe just me - paid extra for fast shipping and received the reader AFTER the expected delivery dates (not during or before like normal internet purchases)...once received...this reader will have to sit on a desk for it's lifetime as the cap covering the USB simply will not stay on...when we took it out of the package the cap fell off - oh no big deal until we found out that the cap will not stay on...it seems as though we have one where there are no grooves or anything that allow the cap to "snap" into place...no i do not have another one to compare it to and will defintely not purchase another...good luck if you decide to buy one....

  i dunno y they are selling it for one cent, because i tried mine, and i stuck the card in the back of it, and the computer still didnt recognize it. one cent is a life savings for this piece of junk. u will get no where with this. the only pro of this is, is that the red LED light blinks a few times......oooohhhh.....
  other than that, wow. its nothing to order. go get u something better to buy.

  I should have read the reviews before I purchased this product. I would have then known that I need an adapter for my minisd before I could use this product. I was actually trying to buy an adapter to read my minisd and the description for this product did not specify that you need an adapter for a minisd. I rated this product as I did due to the fact that I do not know how this product works since I am now waiting for my adapter to be delivered.

• Worked great....for a month

  Since this was a free reader I guess I expected it would fail. I had it for a month before it must have shorted out somewhere as it's now an "unknown device" and won't read anything. It isn't worth returning or getting fixed as in both cases the expense for shipping would be more than it's worth. Instead I purchased a replacement which hopefully will last longer. Mobilelite USB 2.0 9-IN-1 Read seems to work just as good so we'll see in another month if that one passes the test.
