  I just received my new iskin, so my review is very preliminary; however, after reading other reviews, I thought I'd put in my two cents. The new iskin is less bulky than the old and it has a cutout for the 'hold' button so that you're not digging into the case trying to turn on and off. Others mentioned trackwheel issues - mine seems totally fine and no problem w/ lack of sensitivity b/c of the rubber covering.
  
  

• Excellent case for your iPod Classic

  This is a very attractive two-part case - a silicone inner sleeve, with a hard plastic shield for the front of the iPod. The silicone covering for the click wheel is quite thin, and I've had few problems controlling the unit. The plastic shield is durable, and the color is bright. The silicone covering over the dock connector and the headphone jack are hinged and sturdy, although I needed a headphone jack extender to hook up my Etymotic phones (the jack is recessed, and anything other than a straight-down jack might not fit all the way in. While it was a challenge to get the shield on the first time (as other reviews have stated), once it was on it's stayed on. Overall, strongly recommended.

  I'm very pleased with my iSkin. The silicone cover was easy enough to get on and fits snugly with no folds or bubbles. The hard plastic shell was a little trickier, but after some manipulation it's in exactly the right spot and really "feels" as though it gives the extra protection you'd expect. I have had some very minor issues with the click-wheel becoming unresponsive, but it usually picks right back up again momentarily. The removable clip is sturdy and I think the attachment mechanism is solid and innovative. Overall, excellent product.
  
  

• Substandard, bulky, and poor-fitting

  To be fair, I just got my first iPod, and this is my first case for it. However, my partner and daughter have had their iPods for a while, and I've had some experience shopping for cases for them.
  
  This thing just doesn't work well. I had to take an Xacto blade to it before I had any hope of getting my Bluetooth adapter or the charging cable to fit onto the port at the bottom. The flap that covers the headphone jack is annoyingly stubborn in trying to push the jack out of the port.
  
  The colored face just doesn't want to go over the silicone case, which drives me crazy. I'm constantly trying to push it on properly, and there's simply no way to do it.
  
  I'm shopping for a new case now, and it certainly wont be this brand!
