• Good quality sound - not annoying!

  I just bought this to take over for our soon-to-be adopted infant. I was very happy with the small size and weight (perfect for an infant to hold). But most of all, the sound quality is fantastic (and not too loud) - and not electronic sounding at all. And the tunes are all pleasing to the ear and not annoying kid versions. I will like listening to it as much as our son!

  My Daughter picked this toy out @ Wal-Mart, among a few other toys herself!! When I originally bought it, she was only 3 months old!!!!
  We moved the end of October and lost it in the move. I ordered it online and when it arrived, her eyes lit up and she fell in love with it all over again!!! It calms her down peacefully. I strongly recomend this for every parent out there.

  I love this toy and will give it to every new parent that I know! This is the only toy with sound that we own that does not have clear packing tape on the speaker! (Every other toy gets the "tape treatment" once it enters the house!) Music quality is great and the songs play for longer than most toys, so you don't have to reach over and hit the button as often!

  I purchased the Take-Along-Tunes for my 2-month old grandaughter. It is a quick diversion with lights flashing & beautiful "tunes". I wish each melody was a bit longer and the toy had a "continuous/loop" mode. My one-yr-old grandaughter likes it too - and she can push the buttons to keep the music going, but even she finds the melodies to go by too quickly to keep her entertained.

  My 8 month old grandson loves this toy. The music is pleasant and he really enjoys that, as well as the lights that go off as it plays. The size is perfect for his little hands.

  My daughter was fascinated with this toy starting at about 6 weeks of age when absolutely no other toy interested her. She would stare at the lights for minutes on end, and, as us mothers know, at this young age, a content baby for several minutes and be a miracle. We went on a road trip when she was just over two months and this was a life saver. I highly recommd this product.

  I bought this after reading the positive reviews of others and I have been very pleased with the purchase. My baby really enjoys this toy. I use it for 'tummy time', she will lift her head and chest up in order to watch the lights and likes to sing and talk to it. The music is very nice for an electronic toy. I like it so much that I've purchased it for some friends and their babies as well.
  
  
• Great little "radio" for the baby

  This little "radio" is very cute. My 7 month son loves pressing the buttons to turn it on and change the music and he likes the lights too. However, it does end up on the floor a lot! LOL - Even my 4 1/2 yr old daughter loves it! The music is classical music that you know from the Baby Einstein videos. The volume is a good level and not annoying at all. The music is soothing and you don't get sick of hearing it like some other baby toys. I would recommend this toy.

  music is not loud or annoying when you take it out with you but enough for the little one to appreciate. it has been a lot of things; a chew toy, musical toy, educational toy, accessory, and lately a hammer. although the light bulbs gave out already my baby still likes it. i have also given this out as a gift, and only good feedbacks so far.

  The music isn't too loud and it is one of the few toys that has managed to catch my 3 month old boy's attention. The only little complaint is the button - I have to press more on the center of the button in order to trigger the music. Nevertheless, it's great entertainment for a baby!

  We received this as a gift, and tried it out recently with our 2 1/2 month old. He loves it! It holds his attention and has gotten us out of a few fussy attacks. I agree with the other reviewers that the music is pleasant also for adult ears, and so far I am not sick of it at all. He likes it even better when I dance to the music for him, but that is not required! I would definitely recommend, especially at this low price.

  I love this toy. It's multiple uses give it longevity and that is such a great thing. The music is very pleasant, not the annoying sounds of other musical toys. Plus with the handle it makes it easy to add to a stroller, car seat, high chair. I am buying another for my daughter.

  This toy is beautiful, the tunes are nice but the light... FAR TOO BRIGHT for a child to look at.
  I'm sorry, I love Baby Einstein but this one totally disappointed me.

  I love the product (for less than $10 - not worth $45). I bought mine at Target for $7.98. It plays about 7 full length songs and keeps my daughter entertained. The music and lights stop her right in the middle of a crying fit (she's 4 months old.)

  I just bought this for my grandson who is due the end of April. My nephew's son has one and I fell in love with it. The songs are not annoying like some baby tunes and although I'm sure they are electronic they don't have that tinny sound to them. The lights that flash really held my nephew's son's attention too.

  My 8 month old daughter LOVES this.
  
  When you push the multi-color button on the front, a BEAUTIFUL classical song plays (not annoying or sharp sounding, very gentle and soothing), and every time you push it, a different one plays (there seem to be a lot of songs as well!). When the music plays, different colored lights flash across the "screen" in beat with the music. There are 2 volume options and an Off feature which is wonderful to save batteries!
  
  My daughter loves chewing on the handle, looking at the lights, and hearing the music. She also likes banging it against other hard surfaces and it has held up perfectly!
  
  I love it because it's not the typical obnoxious, sharp sounding music that most baby toys emit piercing your ears. This one truly does have a beautiful sound to it. I can't even say that enough! It was such a refreshing change. I love it and take it everywhere. Great for travel as well!

  My daughter is 4 months and loves toys that play music. I've gone through several toys that do not hold her attention, but when we saw this one in the store I had to keep hitting the play button she just enjoyed it that much. There is a good number of different songs, it plays a medium length of time, not too short but its not a continuous play. I think some of the baby einstein toys are a little much but this is a good one.

  This has been my son's favorite toy since he was 2 months. He really follows the lights (which dance in rhythm to the music) and loves listening to the music as well. He definitely has his favorite tunes. We use this toy almost every playtime and it's sure to lead to ear-to-ear smiles every time. Oh yeah, and it's small enough to pack into his diaper bag for when we're out and about. Highly recommended.

  We use this toy all the time when we need to distract my son (ie in a doctor's office, restaurant, long car rides, etc). It is pleasant sounding and the button is easy to press and the handle makes it easy for my one year old to grip. I liked it so much I just purchased one for my friend's baby.

  I bought this at Target on a whim - its been one of my 8 month old daughter's favorite toys for over 3 months. We've purchased many other items and she still comes back to this simple one. We take it along with us in her stroller attached to her straps with toy rings (another MUST have!)
  
  
• My son enjoys the sounds but I don't like the hardness

  Let me start by saying that my son really enjoys the sounds and lights of the toy. I am giving this toy only three stars because of the hardness of the toy. Like most babies, he will grab the toy and fling it around. The last thing I need is him hitting his face with this toy. If you are interested in Baby Einstein toys, I would recommend the Octoplush.

  We bought this toy on a whim... to qualify for free shipping by exceeding the $25 mark on Amazon (just being honest). I've had good luck with Baby Einstein toys, etc in the past. The music is of good quality... not at all distorted or too loud... and it comes with all the "usual" baby songs (can we get some variety or what?). The lights are especially dazzling in darkly lit areas... not so much in bright rooms or outside during the day. It's very basic (just one button to activate both lights and music) and my 9 month old daughter seems to get bored with it rather quickly, but I'd definitely recommend it for younger infants or perhaps as a toy for "the quick grocery trip" or to attach to a stroller. In my opinion, it's too basic for infants beyond about 6 months and it could be much more interactive. Other than that, it's of good quality and worth it for the small price tag.

  I handed it to the 1-year old baby and he start playing with it---pushing the music button. This toy is good: light-weight, easy to grab using baby's one hand and play the toy using the other hand; the replacement battery is regular battery easily available from every grocery store.
