Belkin Leather Folio Case for iPod touch (Black/Chocolate Brown) Reviews

  I have been using this case for my ipod for a couple weeks now, and I have mixed thoughts on it. A lot of other reviewers have hit the major points with the case, both the pros and the cons.
  
  The biggest thing that this case has going for it is the look. The leather look is very nice, and Belkin knows style, at least with this folio. The folio also is fairly well constructed, though not perfect. But for for 15-20 dollars, one can't really complain about slightly imperfect construction. The imperfections include things such as loose threads, and a crooked logo on the inside. You'd think these wouldn't be too hard to get right, but when pumping out in mass quantities, you're getting what you pay for.
  
  The negative parts of this case: primarily its functionality. The first and foremost thing, as anyone who glances at this case can attest to, is that there is no music control when the case is closed. But you know what you are buying when you get this case, and someone who buys this folio shouldn't expect control when it's closed. This has been hinted at my another reviewer who stated it is near impossible to use this case while driving, which is true. The second fault is the velcro enclosure. Be aware when buying this case that it may actually come with a velcro strap on it (mine did) that hooks to the back of the case. This strap is annoying, and a lot of the time doesn't like to stick. A few other design issues - there is no hole for the ambient light sensor, making the auto brightness unusable. The last thing is that the strap on the bottom of the case is a bit too wide, sometimes covering the headphone port. Not a big deal, just nudge it out of the way, but a minor inconvenience.
  
  The case comes with a screen protector that is nice and glossy, but not smudge free, and has to be cleaned fairly regularly.
  
  Overall, buy it for the look, and not for the functionality. There are more functional cases, but if you're worried about the look of your touch, or if you're going to be throwing your ipod in a bag and not actively changing tracks while listening, this should be a good case for you.

  Pros: nice leather holder is much nicer to the "touch" than plastic laternatives.
  
  Cons: lose the velcro - it'll never keep anyway.
  make slightly larger cutouts - sometimes hard to hit buttons

  When i received my product i was a bit dissapointed by the velcro opening.The product image is a bit deceiving and personaly,I thought the opening was a magnetic one.From my experience,velcro openings wear out fast and if I knew about it,I probably wouldn't have purchased this product.Gives the hole product a rather "cheap" look
  
  

• Nice, Stylish, Cover... Only Okay Function

  This is a very nice quality leather cover that has a very stylish edge to it. I've owned it for about a month now, and I'm finding that while it protects and covers the ipod it doesn't really lend itself to doing anything functional with the ipod. The case folds over the face and is nice if you carry your ipod in a briefcase or purse/bag, etc. However its kind of hard to keep the flap out of the way when you actually want to use the touch interactivity or navigate with just one hand, so driving with this cover is out... (I've tried.) The major plusses of this case is the look and protection. If all you want to do is use your ipod when you are sitting still or you usually just press play and stick it back in a pocket or bag than this is a nice accessory. I purchased a DLO Jam Jacket at the same time and I have found that I use this case much more. DLO Jam Jacket with Cord Management and Surface Shields for iPod touch (Black) This case combined with a screen protector is very versatile and secure. I love being able to wrap up my headphones right on the back of the case.

  The quality of the leather is pretty good even though, the one I've got not perfectly looked like brand new when I first got. After I am using till now for like one week, it works good, but the leather can be a little scratch easily.
  
  But you know, most of my friends saw it and like it, because of the design of Belkin.
  
  By the way, it comes with screen protector that not an anti-glare one, but good enough if you don't mind to wipe.
  
  
• Almost perfect

  Its a pretty good case, protects your ipod well and unlike other Belkin iPod cases this one doesn't block the ports for charging, so you can leave the case on whilst charging.
  
  What I disliked about the case was that the leather is susceptible to moisture. If the weather is moist or water gets on it, it begins to bloat. Only way I got around this was taking a hot iron and ironing out the moisture. Also due to the exact cut out made some buttons close to the edge were hard to hit, especially while typing on the QWERTY keyboard. Last but not least, it uses Velcro to close. This no doubt will over time deteriorate, they should have stuck to magnetic latches.

• Belkin iPod Touch Case

  This is a great slim attractive case. It is exactly what it looks like. There are only two annoyances that I have experienced: 1) Your iPod Touch will not stay perfectly centered in the case, so every time that you open the case you need to give your iPod a little nudge, and 2) As with other cases that border the screen, the case can get in the way of typing and navigation. For me these are pretty minor faults, and do not detract overly from the form or function of this case.
  
  
• Exactly what I was looking for

  I was looking for a flip case for my iPod touch that would close to protect the screen but also look cute. There are lots of cases to choose from but I am very happy with mine. The down side for me is that the iPod sometimes wiggles lose from it's position. I think at some point I might put a little bit of felt behind the iPod in the case to keep it from sliding around. Other than that I love it and definitely recommend it.

  Very nice and trendy looking Folio! I've received lots of compliments and envy. The velcro closure is probably the worse feature. Perhaps a magnetic closure would have been better. The loud velcro isn't condusive for an office environment.

  I had just purchased my new Ipod Touch and wanted to be sure I had a case for it when it arrived. I figured, if this one was "just OK", I would use it until I found something else.
  It turned out to be a lovely surprise. It is handsome, stylish and protects the Itouch beautifully, while giving me quick, easy access to all the buttons and plugs.

• Some quick stiching errors

  I like the way this looks protecting my iPod, but after a day or two I noticed that my case was pushing my iPod out at an angle and I have to readjust it all the time, but its very very simple so I dont mind it too much. Also sometimes the bottom support for the iPod gets in the way of the earphone jack, that can be annoying sometimes. I usually have to play with it for a minute to get the jack in there right. I cant give this product any higher rating because of these reasons.
