Very Nice Case By A2GUD29X2AU67G on 2008-03-20
The very first case I purchased for my new iPod Touch was the DLO Jam Jacket with cord management. I ordered a noise-canceling headset about a week later, which made the added thickness of the Jam Jacket's cord management a pain. You couldn't use the cord management with this type of headset.
The Jam Jacket I purchased was black, to match the color scheme of the iPod. It picked up lint from my pockets and I simply didn't like it. It was too big for all but the basic outerwear pocket. It was lumpy and tacky feeling. I purchased it because a sales person said this would be better protection if I dropped it.
I started looking for a new case almost immediately. I finally decided that a leather folio type was more my style. I carry my iPod in my purse when I'm out and around, but also carry it in my coat pocket if I'm walking. So here are my pros and cons for this product.
PROS
1. Very well made and sleek feeling. It will slip in and out of pockets and handbags easily
2. How could you get better protection than this? If you dropped this, nothing is exposed like with the Jam Jacket. The screen is covered by the front flap until you open it.
3. The colors are very nice. The orange color is a more intense persimmon than the image shows. I have several wallpapers that complement this color scheme.
4. I don't know why this is so, but the accelerometer seems snappier now that it isn't encased in the Jam Jacket silicone. Why? I don't know. But there is a noticeable difference in the screen-aspect change.
5. Absolutely classier and more feminine looking. The silicone covers are not girly at all.
6. If you saw this you would think it was a little coin purse or something to hold business cards or a calculator, etc. You wouldn't think there was an iPod Touch inside. Perhaps a deterrent for iPod thieves?
7. I like it so much, I am going to look for a version that will fit my Nano.
CONS
1. Just a tiny bit of the Touch's right front edge shows when it's seated in the case - in the "window" portion. This is a real leather case, so getting the leather bent to cover it is probably an impossible task. It doesn't look bad. It fits fine, it's just not entirely balanced.
2. I'm a "sniffer" - meaning that I always have to sniff and smell the products I purchase. This one has a slight leather scent that is permeated with a chemical overtone. I am sure it will fade. It's one of those newly manufactured smells that will no doubt dissipate once it's out of the plastic packaging. It didn't give me a headache, so it's not too bad.
3. Which brings me to the packaging. Larger-than-needed clear plastic box, with another plastic molded piece inside. Way too much for this slim product - I care about the environment and hate to see this kind of indulgence. I would have liked to see a tiny black or white box made from recycled material- not plastic - to reduce both packaging and odor.
4. The picture doesn't show the matching leather strap that holds the folio closed. The strap is approximately 3/4 inches by 2 inches, double-layered and is attached with stitching to the inside front cover at the edge. The top layer is bone-leather, the bottom layer is a textured suede that is persimmon colored. It is well designed. On the back of the folio, a small square was precision-cut from the material and a bone-colored piece of velcro tab is inserted in it. This is really well executed. The velcro piece on the underside of the strap is matched to the persimmon suede color. They really paid attention to detail. Anyway, from the Amazon image, you would almost expect a closure that was magnetic, since no strap shows. One reviewer found this was an issue. But I think it is so well done that it does not add excess bulk. And I think a magnetic closure would damage the electronics of the iPod.
So there are two listings for this product - and the other listing is the one that shows the true color and the strap detail. Here's the other listing: Belkin Leather Folio for iPod touch (Persimmon/Bone)
Great for Ipod Touch By A2183499CPCTIA on 2008-01-04
If you are going to carry your ipod touch in your pocketbook then you should get one of these. The design is clever - all the buttons are accessible and it is very slim. It is much cuter than in the photo. There is an embossed honeycomb pattern on the lower right-hand corner of the cover. Can't imagine a better pocketbook protector for an ipod.
Nice case--fits well, nice quality leather By A1XKWVRN7ZO9EF on 2008-02-14
When I received this case there was only one surprise. The color description says persimmon/bone, and the photo on amazon at the time showed the open case with it's orange interior. The current photo shows the outside, which is all white. Not a deal-breaker, but I thought I was getting an orange case with white accents and it's really white with orange accents. Either color combo is good for visibility, especially if you keep this in a large tote or purse. A black case could get lost in the Black Hole of Pursedom, but this case doesn't have that problem!
The fit of the case is excellent. It holds the Touch snugly enough that I'm not worried about it slipping out, yet it's still easy to remove when I need to. The Touch slides into the case's opening from the left side. The top and bottom have opening for the buttons/connections but the Touch can't slide out.
I can connect to the docking cable while keeping the Touch in the case. I don't have a docking stand, so I don't know if that would work. Also I have a kitchen radio with a dock/cradle, and not surprisingly I have to take the Touch out of the case to put it in. I wouldn't expect it to, though.
This case comes with a clear plastic film to stick to the screen.
FITS LIKE A GLOVE and pretty too By A1GRHYJOC3XM14 on 2008-01-18
First off, I received it a lot faster than I thought. When I slipped my iPod Touch in it...it fit LIKE A GLOVE. I loved the velvetty inside and the leather outside. The screen is fully exposed, of course, and although it's not protected with a clear plastic, it's protected when the case is closed. All buttons and connections are fully exposed and easy to access. I've dropped it once and the case absorbed the shock pretty well. I love it and recommend it. It's really pretty and I get compliments on it all the time.
Stylish, but prone to creasing and slipping By A3IZS81ELY3DF8 on 2008-04-26
This product looks good, but is not entirely practical.
I have been using it for about a month now, and along the side of the case are many long creases, from having the case open most of the time. This looks pretty bad, and although I've tried leather cleaner, nothing gets them off. Also, sometimes when you are using it, the iPod slips to the left, making it difficult to use. Also, the home button can be quite difficult to press at times.
Anyway, moan over. The design of the case is fantastic; it looks good, feels good, and is essentially very practical. It fits in the pocket very well, and if you have a standard screen protector on, it covers the top and bottom of the front of the iPod, which are normally exposed.
Generally, this is a good case, but you could look elsewhere for a more practical option.
- Wrong Item

Touch Leather Folio Persimmon/bone for Ipod
Really bad experience with this order. This is a case for iPod Touch and that is what I needed. Upon receiving the order I found a PINK iPod case for iPod Classic. Figured just a simple mistake by amazon's shipping dept. Called for correction..very promptly I got the replacement "correct" case for my iPod Touch. Only it wasn't the correct case. It's same same damn PINK iPod Classic case. What the F$*# man?
Called to correct but they won't send any more replacement until they figure out what the heck is wrong with their system. Good, because I am not looking forward to receive another PINK iPod Classic Case.
Very disappointed with amazon and their poor order management.
- A good case but not convenient for changing songs.
     By A203FBENC944MJ on 2008-03-31
The Touch Leather Folio is a high quality and fashionable case. However if you want to change songs, type something, or use the internet your going to find yourself changing hand positions a lot or worse having to just take the iPod out of its case (which mine is at this moment). But if you prefer to just shuffle the songs and have no problem just letting go from there then your probably gonna be ok.
- Classy, superior, and freakin' awesome.
     By A3SKR9A5SIRMEY on 2008-04-07
The belkin leather folio for the ipod touch is awesome. it is so awesome that i ordered 2. one for my girlfriend and one for me.
it fits just like a glove. it has a hard outer shell that protects the screen and back of the ipod.
the only think that i dont like about it is that if you hold it a certain way it tends to slip a little. but you can always turn it the other direction.
another small dislike is the home button is sometimes hard to press.
but it is the least of my worries.
the plastic protective screen is also awesome.
and last but not least... it got here way earlier than i had expected.
whoever ships this is awesome.
i would definitely recommend this to anyone.
- Great product to protect your Ipod
     By A305I7FEQDWL9K on 2008-02-08
When I bought this product I originally thought it had a screen over it, but it just came with one of those clear sheets that stick to the face surface. It didnt end up being a problem though because the leather wrap around case does a good job of protecting it. I've been using it to protect it from the inside of my purse and it has totally served its purpose. It also is good about allowing the charger and headphone wires to plug in fully. All in all good product that I would buy again.
- great quality
     By APTAFVYXVOB7G on 2008-02-18
Very good fit to the ipod touch, and quality of leather is really good also. Great product at an excellent price. Definitely worth the cost.
- Close but not quite
     By A3P062O07BJ1J1 on 2008-03-07
I had ordered this case expecting to get what was in the picture. To my disappointment i received a similar item which had an additional velcro strap. I know i'm being picky but what i wanted was the case in the picture that did not have a strap. I called to see if we could fix the problem and they reordered it for me. Despite the woman's promise that she attached a note regarding the situation, i was sent the same case again. So now i have two cases i don't want and need to return, and have to continue on a search for another one elsewhere. Just disappointed we weren't able to fix the issue.
- not what is shown....
     By A2WWMVMM8BJYUY on 2008-05-04
I was disappointed when my folio arrived. It came with a velcro strap that is NOT in the picture.
- love it!
     By A2T1LZWRGLYJTT on 2008-07-12
Very classy case for an iPod touch. It has a little plastic screen protector which works well and then the leather case which is attractive. I like it!
I am slightly concerned that the velcro will not hold out to years of use. It seems a bit loose, though works fine after a month or so. That's why I gave it four instead of five stars. I'd give it 4.5 if the system allowed me to.
Perhaps I can come back and update this in 6 months or a year.
- Protection with a pinch of style
     By A1ARLAS1MUSDA8 on 2008-01-14
This leather folio is just what i was looking for.
What you see is what you get, it fits your ipod touch rather well and the design is exactly what you see from the picture.
I rated this product a 4 because though it protects your ipod touch perfectly well, it does not protect your earphones from being tangled up in your beg.
Other than that, i would recommend this product to anyone (who doesn't own an expensive earphone).
- Stylish and Protective
     By A3IGOCUL1QG837 on 2008-02-05
Out of all the cases for the iPod touch that I've seen I believe this is the best looking one! It also protects the iPod very well and the inside has a soft suede material that doesn't make scratches and marks on the iPod's shiny case. The only small problem with the case is that it doesn't have a hole where the light sensor is. You will have to make a hole yourself if you want the auto-dimming function to work. Other than that minor problem I find the case to be a beautiful product for the iPod.
- Great Bargain/Very High Quality

High quality item at a great price. It looks great and does the job perfectly. I love it.
- Best thing for what I wanted
     By A3OXVC4ND2O75Z on 2008-03-28
This product is exactly what I wanted. It's thin, and the flap covers and protects the screen. It fits in the folio perfectly and it's well designed.
- Amazing

     By A194M8WO79V6UK on 2008-06-04
I have purchased this item. However, it came out to be a case for Ipod!!!! The return shipping would cost the price of the item! Now, I have to give this to friend who has Ipod!!! what a waste of money!!
