Johnny Depp stars as Benjamin Barker / Sweeney Todd, the barber who was locked away for fifteen years for a crime he didn't commit. Returning to London, he slits the throats of innocent customers in madness after the loss of his wife and daughter. With the assistance of his former landlady, Mrs. Nellie Lovett (Helena Bonham Carter), Sweeney launches a plan for revenge.

This video to me was better than the play. Johnny showed he had another talent he could sing and actually keep the tone, he wasn't pitching. He was simply wonderful. When he sung "My Friends," he poured his heart out. Helena was great as always. Sasha reminded me of a rooster struting around. I loved the movie. Some people said, "All they do is sing." Well duh it's musicial. Like Olkahoma, Cinderella, Phanthom of the Opera etc. You can't please everyone. I would remind this to anyone who loves musicials.
