IT WORKS... By A3UOPTGOV4P6B8 on 2007-12-02
In the last few years I noticed that my heels were getting dry and cracked (not acceptable in my book). I used all different kinds of pumice stones and creams with no real success.
On a whim I ordered the "Ped Egg". I followed the instructions exactly and to my complete amazement, it worked! I saw a huge improvement with the very first use. Follow it up with pumice if you need to and some kind of creme or lotion to keep in the moisture.
I have to say that I was skeptical but am really very pleased and happy about the results produced by using the "Ped Egg".
HELPFUL HINT: If you order from their website, they'll offer you "Extras" and charge a ridiculous amount of money for each item. My suggestion is to do as I did and only order ONE Ped Egg (no extras). Because when you get the product you'll find a leaflet in the package that offers additional Ped Eggs with FREE SHIPPING.
Better than my $50 diamancel file... By A16PUD6V3KAZ0Q on 2008-01-25
Ok- first of all I read the reviews here...
This is an amazing product and I hate to see that folks who aren't happy with the decisions they made to buy from random other places are putting negative reviews about this product....(read the negative reviews...you'll see)...
Anyway. I bought this at my local walgreens and it came with 1 pedegg and 2 emery "stickers" for additional smoothing action....And a little form to order more pedegg smoothing/sandpaper replacement stickers...
I have extremely callused feet - so bad that my calluses often make the back of my heels cracked and at right angles... I'd say the thickness of my calluses on the heels (where it is the worst) are around 1/8" thick. Gross.
Anyway- pedegg made quick and comfortable work of removing those calluses and then I used my stand alone smoothing file to finish the job....
I was amazed at how quick and comfortable it was and a little horrified (and fascinated) by the amount of callus dust in the containment area... There were a few tablespoons... It was nasty BUT my feet look better than they have in 6 years of using Diamancel's #20 file (which was close to $50 if I remember correctly).... This clearly did it's job...I washed it after use but I didn't have to stop and rinse it and it showed no signs of "gumming" up during the first run with it- unlike other foot implements that I have had to bang like heck or scrub to finish the job...
And this product seems much safer than the typical callus shavers on the market (and not as scary in concept!)....
I don't think the emery/smoothing sticker things are a big deal- for final smoothing I have a little revlon foot shaped thingy so I don't have to bend more than using this pedegg for a few minutes (I have a screwy spine and a busted hip)....
Anyway- great product if you have nasty feet like me or you like doing the home pedicure thing....
Ped Egg By A3FHC1FC4HG7QM on 2007-12-13
I recently received my Ped Egg and tried it today exactly as directed. I was quite disappointed. It isn't as easy to use as shown on TV ... you can only go back and forth ... not sideways or in a circular motion which took some time getting use to. It took a good while to only do a small area even though my heels are not in that bad of shape . Also, only about 50 % of the filings were caught inside the egg ... Had I not taken notice and put a towel under my foot there would of been a mess of filings to clean up.
WOW! I Was Blown Away! By A212GR406TZTJH on 2008-01-08
I ordered this product in hopes that it would help my poor feet. I was very close to taking a sander to my feet, but didn't need to once I used PedEgg. One treatment and my feet are smooth and touchable again. I don't snag on my sheets or bedding and I can wear sandles again without feeling embarrassed. I only rated this product a 4 because it doesn't catch all the shavings. Infact, the shavings are like dust and the egg doesn't catch them all. But I can live with a little mess and just put a towel underneath my feet to catch the shavings. It's no big deal to me, but because it's not true to it's advertisement, I gave it a 4. This product is sooo worth buying, I would order another one without hesitating!
Great Little Gizmo! By A3DF9EZKTMMHHM on 2007-12-29
I've got really bad feet. Terrible calluses, and heels that get so dry that it was always a toss-up as to which one would destroy my pantyhose first, the callus or the heel. It got to the point that I was putting moleskin on the areas, before getting into my pantyhose. What a pain, not to mention the expense. I saw this little gizmo on TV, and since the price was right, I decided to give it a try. Wow! It really works. It's just like a little cheese grater, but your feet are the cheese. I followed the directions, and before I knew it, those ugly calluses were gone, and my heels were soft. I could hardly believe it. Here's a product that actually does what it says it will. I figure with the money I save on pantyhose and moleskin, it's already paid for itself. This is a great little gizmo. Your feet will thank you.
- WORKS FOR ME!!! BRING TO LIFE DRY CRACKED HEELS!!!!
     By A22RDFKCZ4LN4E on 2007-12-20
This thing WORKS!!! I just gave my mom a little pedicure and her heels were harder than mine. I think this is better than using the blade that the salon use to remove calluses and it is gentle. Don't have to worry cutting too deep. This is people for really dry and cracked feet. soft heels need not buy! good for giving grandma a special treat if you know what I mean!! No it wont make foot look younger but it will feel younger seriously! I can't be any more emphatic! I wish I brought two! One recommendation of when to use this, wash your feet the night before and when your is bone dry, then use the ped egg. I recommend using the emmory pads that stick to the egg because it gives more of a handle when you are manually smoothing your heels rather than using those flimsy thin emmory boards. also, to get the crevices, (for the older folks) you gotta pull on the skin a bit. Works great on callouses my mom had one at the ball of her foot and after 1 min or two depending on how thick it is, and it disappears. another tip: apply some pressure but not too much especially on the callouses. also put a towel on the floor it collects the dead skin but some do fall through crevices. Works as a great prep to avoid embassrassment when you are returning to the salon knowing you haven't been there in a long time or give it to the person who will doing feet before they begin the pedicure. if you use it while your heel is wet the skin will get stuck between the blades. use lotion afterwards to keep it smooth! I am so excited can't wait to use it next weeks to come!!
- Good Product; only a couple of drawbacks...
     By A1FWFCJU2G7TRA on 2008-03-01
I have really bad heels and have since I was in my 30's...my skin peels off as well. Instead of using scissors, I decided to try this little guy to see what would happen. (I found mine at RiteAid, which is cheaper than ordering from TV). The blades work best on raised callous areas around the ball of the foot and edges of heels. I had to "scrub" back and forth pretty hard on my heels--and if you have any peeling skin, be careful because you can nick yourself. My heels were a bit tender after, and it did take 2-3 times to get them to where I wanted them to be. I highly suggest using a LOT of cream after doing this. The egg itself is a nice design to hold but the shavings went all over. I couldn't get the bottom off easily to "dispose" of the trapped shavings, so I just turned it upside down over the garbage.
- Great for in between visits to pedicurist!
     By A10DBNGVY8XMGL on 2007-12-30
I love getting pedicures and with my feet, it's something that I really need to do frequently. However, it can get a bit taxing on the wallet.
After seeing the PedEgg on t.v., I was convinced that it was what I needed to keep my heels soft in between pedicures.
On my first usage, I had cracked and dry heels and some dry patches on the pads of my feet. It took about 1/2 hour to do both of my feet, but the result was amazing! My feet are baby soft...softer than even they are after a pedicure.
It's worth every penny...especially since I won't need to get a pedicure nearly so often...actually maybe never. I'll just get them because I want to!
- Works like crazy!
     By AIPD8IR5PN4G6 on 2008-01-31
This Ped-Egg works better than even the huge nail files I used.
It smoothed my feet about ten times as well.
YES, some of the filings did escape, WHO CARES? Don't you guys have vacuums, there are lots of them on sale at Amazon.
It's about time I can wear pantyhose with no snags again. (not that I wear them in the winter)
You will have to use it about once a week, I found, to keep them smooth, and moisturize really well after you use it. IF you can stand it, take plastic and wrap your feet after moisturizing, THEN put on your socks, to help the cream stay there, and let it soak in naturally, on not end up on your floors instead!
The only thing I think should be mentioned is the REASON for dry cracked feet is POOR CIRCULATION. (or athlete's feet,if they itch)
If you are having this problem, and you're only 40, you'd better start thinking about your heart.
Dry feet are the least of your worries. And if you don't believe me, try looking at your elderly parents' feet. And their legs, for that matter. (if your parents are still alive, neither of mine are)
This is a common problem when people get older, especially if they have poor circulation. It stops the capillaries from removing the dead skin cells.
Dry cracked feet, and dry skin in general is one of the first signs.
So try as hard as you can to quit smoking, get ANY exercise you enjoy, so you will keep it up, and lose weight, and take care of your heart.
Once you do this, you will reduce your chances of having a heart attack at 55, or sooner!
Honestly.
Ask your doctor!
- RIP OFF
     By A15RW4MET6XS3G on 2008-01-20
I called the number given on tv , customer service is all prerecorded with choices you select and it sound like every thing is free except the ped egg , lotion comes free , pads come free but they charge you with 8 dollars shipping for each item they offer for free and you get charged for all that shipping so what i thought would be 20 dollars cost end up costing me 70 dollars for little bitty useless eggs with little blades attached to that ,problem is even u return the product u do not get the shipping cost they charged u and it is the trick they are playing with u , they do not charge much for the prodcut , like i said $ 20 but it comes out to be $70 with the shipping and that is just very unethical way to rib people off .
i will hope some one will read this info and be careful , this was my first experience to buy things from tv and i am very disppointed and now know why these items are not in stores because these companies are running there bussiness by misinforming the viewers and taking thier money .
i am sure there are some honest bussiness available through tv but be very careful.
- Best product EVER!!!!
     By A3MNA06C7IHH1N on 2007-12-13
The Pedegg is a fantastic item! It got my feet smoother than if I went and had a pedicure. It doesn't take long, it feels good, and the results are perfect. I paid ten bucks for it, but wouldn't take a hundred if I couldn't get another one. Finally, something that does what it promised.
- This thing is tight!
     By A2JHZODGD8W5K1 on 2007-12-17
When I first saw the PED EGG on T.V. a few weeks ago, I was like "That looks cool." And then I found it on Amazon and ordered one for me and one for my mom.
When I received it and opened it up, I was like "Wait...a cheese grater for my feet?!!?!? My feet aren't that bad!"
But I gave it a shot on the few hard spots on the bottom of my feet, and this thing works like a charm. I couldn't believe how smooth it made my feet. And it's great that all the skin particles get caught inside so that it's not flying around the air.
This product is great. I strongly recommend it for people who do not get pedicures on a regular basis and just want to clean up the bottom of their foot every once in a while.
- Fantastic!
     By A3G3JMCBFB44FJ on 2008-01-12
I ordered a Ped Egg because my feet have always been rough, calloused, and my heels have always been dry, cracked, and gross! I was so excited when it arrived-I used it that night. It worked great! It made my feet smooth for the first time in several years. Everyone that had seen my feet before were amazed with the results. It didn't catch all of the shavings, but I knew that from reading other reviews, so I was prepared. You just need to put something down on the floor to catch them. I was amazed with how many shavings that came out of it! I am so glad that I bought this-I am going to buy another one so that I will always have one around.
- DAYUM!!! IT WORKS!!
     By A8F2AZWB20X1H on 2008-04-12
After shredding the heels of yet another pair of panty-hose I finally surrendered and went out and bought a Ped Egg. I figured that for $9.99 it's almost as cheap as another pair of pantyhose, and if it's as good as they say it is, it might save me from ripping up a few dozen more pairs in the long run.
How it works: The Ped Egg is shaped like an egg that's flattened on one side and it's about four inches long, small enough to fit into any purse. The round side fits comfortably into the palm of your hand. The flat side -- the business side -- looks like a mini cheese-grater and works on pretty much on the same principle. Rub it over your heels and the graters pulverize the dry skin painlessly into so much powder. The powder is trapped inside the Ped Egg, but as you change its position on your feet while you use it, some of the dust will fall out through the holes, so put a towel or a paper towel or a newspaper under your foot to catch any residue. The Ped Egg comes with two oval-shaped emery pads to rub over your feet after you finish using it. (The emery pads have an adhesive backing to adhere to the bottom cover of the Ped Egg.) Slather on a lot of lotion at the end, and your heels will feel softer than a baby's butt. No kidding -- this thing really does work.
Once you've got your feet in shape with the Ped Egg, weekly maintenance (or twice a week in cold, dry weather when cracked heels are endemic) should be all that's required. Unless you've got actual scales on your feet, using it every day shouldn't be necessary. You can buy replacement emery pads, but actually any emery block that you pick up for a dollar in the nail care section of your local drugstore should work just as well. One caveat: I've read some reviews that said people have tried the Ped Egg to smooth their elbows. If I were you, I wouldn't. The skin on your elbows is much thinner than the skin on the soles of your feet and your heels, and abrading your elbows with a Ped Egg blade could be painful at best and possibly do some serious scarring. You can try rubbing the emery pad over your elbows; I did this, and it worked fine. Just don't overdo it on the elbow grease (pun intended) or you'll wind up with some sore elbows. And slather on the lotion afterwards.
With normal use (two or three times a week), the Ped Egg blade should last you from six to eight weeks. The replacement blades come three to a pack, and unlike the Ped Egg, the replacement blade box gives instructions on how to remove the blade to empty the egg and/or replace a new blade: hold the top cover by the sides while you squeeze the blade cartridge on both ends, and pop out the cartridge one end at a time. After a few tries you get the hang of it.
All in all, the Ped Egg is a great little gizmo that lives up to expectations. I expect to save a minor fortune on panty-hose.

- Best Pedicure Ever!
     By A2VIXEA3J3OXJA on 2008-01-20
I love this tool! I love to go barefoot. Indoors, outdoors, it doesn't matter. For the last five or six years I have been too embarassed to get a professional pedicure because my feet were so rough and cracked. I tried everything at home. The cracks were sometimes painful and would split. I saw this product on TV and did some research online through other customer reviews. I read many good reviews and decided to try it. My feet are now baby smooth. One piece of advice: as you get down to the tender, new skin. . .take it slow. This product is gentle if used correctly, but has the potential to cut healthy skin as well. If your feet are really bad, try sloughing a bit each day. Give your feet time to get accustomed to the new skin.
- Excellent Product!
     By A3LL5TY92YDEAB on 2008-03-18
I was so excited when I received this product! It's easy to use, works great, and worth the money.
- My feet look and feel pretty!
     By A30TGCDZBUYD9O on 2008-03-28
All the "husk" is gone from my feet. I no longer need to use files, scissors, and other tools...just my PedEgg. However, don't get carried away because you can take too much skin off and get scraped.
- GREATEST INVENTION EVER!!
     By A3AEYDNYCWH2IZ on 2008-01-05
The real test for the product was if it made MY feet soft (lol). I was skeptical and didn't want to buy one because "I already have a foot file", so my Mom bought me one because she swore they were "So Great" and I just had to try it, and guess what.....IT WORKS!! This little thing is SO AWESOME!! My feet are so soft! I NEVER thought that my rough, dry, cracked feet would EVER be this soft. I LOVE IT!! Everyone should have one!
- My feet feel brand new!
     By A15E748AQNVXIV on 2008-02-05
This is a GREAT product! Best 10 bucks I've spent in a long time.
We have a thin, industrial-type of carpet in our apartment. It's only a tad thicker than walking on an un-sanded wooden floor. Since we moved in last summer, I noticed my feet were getting drier and more cracked. Pumice rocks, cocoa butter, Vaseline--none of that was helping. I went out the other day and bought this little baby and man oh man, my feet haven't been this smooth since I was a little baby! (this is after only ONE USE too!) No more tearing up the bedsheets (not to mention my wife's ankles) in the middle of the night.
By the way, a lot of people are one-starring this product because they fell for a shipping scam--that's unfair!! This product really works. Please do yourself a favor and buy this product in a local pharmacy like I did, and you will not be disappointed.
- Disappointed with Ped Egg
     By A2HWNISBTDKHO1 on 2008-01-07
I saw the Ped Egg on an infomercial and it looked like a neat concept. I searched for it on Amazon.com and purchased it. When it arrived I was eager to try it right away. While I was using it I noticed that some of the dry skin was going on the floor rather than into the Ped Egg container. When I finished filing my calluses I held the Ped Egg over the garbage pail. It was extremely difficult to open because it was on so tight that when it finally opened it flew out of my hands and the dry skin went all over the floor. What a mess! The Ped Egg does do a good job of removing the calluses but then again so does any callus file. The reason I bought the Ped Egg was to eliminate the mess of filing calluses and it did not do that. Sometimes things are just too good to be true.
Fortunately for me, Get Organized, the company I bought it from refunded my money and said I could keep the Ped Egg or discard it.
- What a GREAT product!
     By A2QOSLCIL1MCJQ on 2008-01-30
People should rate this product for the results they get not for the shipping problems etc. This is an awesome product. I have been using an electric sander (the little hand held ones) on my feet for years but the dust goes everywhere. I was interested at once seeing this new product. I got one at Bed Bath & Beyond and I am thrilled with the job it does!!! I am ordering more online so I will not ever be without one. I am interested to see how long the blades stay sharp enough to do the job. But the price is so reasonable that buying several is not a problem. LOVE THIS PEDEGG!!!!!

I thought this product was as described. I've had problems with the hard dry skin on your feet. As soon as I got it I was so amazed at how it really worked. My feet are now smooth. I highly recommend this product and for the price, it is really reasonable.
- Ouch. Take it slow.
     By A29BFN6JJKQ9M4 on 2008-03-01
WELL... I'm apparently the only one that's OVER DONE IT w/ the ped egg. I purchased mine at Walgreen's and used it 2.28.08.
I have some advice for people w/ badly callused heals:
If I were to do it again, I would do it over 2 or even 3 days. Yes indeed, my heels are baby soft now, I can't believe it! But... I noticed IMMEDIATELY when walking across the carpet that my heels are very sensitive now. A few hours later my heels were warm to the touch, a bit "throbby" and a little red. I'm a person who can be VERY sensitive to things in weird ways, so perhaps I'm the only person that's had this happen, but WHY NOT just wait for 2 or 3 days to have the softest heels you've ever had in your life?? I used it two days ago and my heels are quite hot and red and I notice myself walking on my tip toes to avoid putting full pressure on them. Ouch.
They are NOT bleeding or raw or anything crazy like that. I think that my heels have been so covered and protected by thick dead skin for so long (FYI: I'm 35 and definitely didn't have the worst heels I've ever seen) that they honestly have never had this many nerves exposed before! I hope it doesn't take long for this to go away.
Again: It works! I would use it again. But I would do it over 2 or 3 days because I had NO idea I had done too much.
- Gotta get it!
     By AQKWJ5F6TN4HW on 2008-02-08
This is the best thing since emery boards were invented. Your feet feel so good and smooth, you'll wonder why you paid $25 for a pedicure! I've told every person I know to get the ped egg. I'm a sold customer :)

- Finally something that REALLY works
     By A3D9YUKFQNJZAR on 2008-01-12
I bought the pedegg platinum and it is the best little gizmo on the market. I suffer from dry heels and callouses. Sometimes, they even split and are sore. I bought this and used it one time, and my feet are as smooth as can be. After years of Dr. Scholl's metal files, pumice stones, every gadget you can imagine, this REALLY works wonderfully. I highly recommend it.
- Buy it with "Get Organized" instead
     By A3Q0RDCQ8GCZON on 2008-01-15
The product is fine. They only include one buff pad, not two. Apparently "Get organized" comes with PED EGG free shipping coupon; this one comes with "10 buffing pad free shipping coupon". I should have listened to the reviewers at "get organized". Don't make the same mistake I did.
- WORKS PERFECTLY!
     By AYDK3KRMRZEA6 on 2008-01-18
I had nasty cracked heels and nothing helped. They were so scratchy I could not even wear stockings. The Ped Egg is a miracle! If you thought there was nothing you could do about callouses on your heels, here is the answer. An eggcellent product!
- 0 Stars if possible
     By A2M04QJ777PXA4 on 2008-01-25
This product is not worth a penny in my opinion. The blade was not sharp. Nothing collected in the handy little compartment. My husband has carpentry tools that would do a better job than this thing. I paid $16.99. Returned the Egg, got $10.00 back and the company got to keep $6.99 for their postage fees. It came in a tiny box, no bigger than the actual egg itself. Buyer beware.
- I JUST TRIED IT OUT!
     By A2SLJ45TBDAXO6 on 2008-03-03
I read hundreds and hundreds of reviews for PEDEGG from different websites and they were uninamously POSITIVE! I have the driest, most cracked heels and hate taking time & $$$ to go for a pedicure.
I went to Walgreens and they were sold out. I then went to Linens & Things and they had them. I bought the original (they now make a platinum) for 9.99 + tax. Out the door I went and home I was. My 14yr old son sat with me watching in amazement..he even asked if he could use it. In about five minutes my heel was smooth. I buffed it a little with the emery pad and then applied lotion..the outcome?...........SOFTEST HEEL EVER NOW!
This is the best 9.99 I have spent in so long. TRY IT!
