The Activity Jumper folds flat for easy storage. View larger. | Innovative Variety of Developmental Activities The Musical Motion Activity Jumper sports a cheerful, primary-color palette that's eye-catching and suitable for boys or girls. It stands on a base, with the infant bucket seat attached to two arches by adjustable, spring-loaded straps. When baby is placed in the seat, he can kick off the ground with his legs to bounce up and down. This provides vital exercise for a youngster's legs, helping to prepare him for walking. The six-point height adjustment lets it grow with your infant, while non-skid feet and fabric-covered springs keep baby safe. Most bouncers stop there -- but we're delighted to find that the Activity Jumper also surrounds baby with plenty of fun, interactive toys. The bucket seat can rotate 360 degrees for baby to reach all of the activities. He'll delight in the frog spinner, bead chaser, and baby-proof mirror. The toy also includes 10 Baby Einstein links that can be repositioned and detached from the activity center for on-the-go play, or which serve as attachment points for additional toys. A teether stalk toy helps soothe itchy gums while encouraging "reach and grab" coordination. And the light-up piano keys give baby an interactive introduction to musical creativity with two modes: the "piano notes" mode plays in piano tones, while the "melodies" mode features five classical melodies. Help Your Little One Get Stronger Babies love bouncing. Not only is it exciting for a baby to move himself with the power of his own legs, but it gives him satisfying, and vital, exercise that helps prepare him for standing and walking. The higher and harder that baby bounces in the Activity Jumper, the more the toys will rattle and shake -- making it even more exciting and fun. And with the added benefit of a rotating seat, which baby operates by pushing off the ground with his feet, your infant gets even more leg coordination practice in a safe, secure place. We especially enjoy the versatility of this 2-for-1 toy -- and it's safer than an infant walker. Other perks for parents: the fabric seat cover is a cinch to remove, and it's machine washable. And unlike some other bouncers, the Activity Jumper folds down flat for much easier storage. While it's erected, however, it takes up a bit of room. And because your baby won't be able to use this toy once he's able to stand and walk unassisted, it has a limited-use timeframe. What's in the Box Activity jumper, assembly hardware, quick start guide, and user's guide.

Baby loved it...until it broke. By A29SSZUHNZOQC8 on 2008-06-12
If you're a parent who bought this and the piano/music box insert is broken, call Kids 2 at 1-800-230-8190 and ask for a replacement. Apparently this part has broken so many times that they don't ask any questions. It is also so common that the part is on backorder, so you will want to call them right away. See the rest of my review for more details, but I wanted to save some unfortunate parent some precious time so I put this at the top.
My 4-month-old loved this from the first moment she sat in it. She could spend an hour in it easily. She especially liked banging on the piano/music box insert. Unfortunately, this was short lived as the piano/music box stopped working after only 2 weeks. We replaced the batteries, but the box never worked again. I did some research online and discovered that other parents had complained about the same problem. They had suggested calling the manufacturer for a replacement, but no one had the number.
After a few calls around, I finally contacted Kids 2 and they offered to ship a replacement out in a month. Six weeks later, I called to check on it and was told that "things are often delayed from China and this is on back order". When I asked how long it would be I was told maybe another 4 to 6 weeks. Thats a total of over three months to get a replacement part from the manufacturer. Thats IF they actually deliver this time. I'm not holding my breath. I won't be buying any Kids 2 products again any time soon.
Without the piano unit, there are really only 2 sections of the exerciser left to entertain the baby. She enjoys chewing on the sunflower, but that section has no other toys, so the other 2 inserts get most of her attention. Thankfully, the bouncer also has loops to attach other toys.
If it weren't for the fact that we could attach other toys, she would have really missed that piano.
In summation, I would have given this product five stars if it weren't for that piano. My daughter loved it. She still likes playing in the Jumper and we use it every day. I took one star away for an obviously defective piece of equipment. I took another star away for the ridiculously long time it is going to take for the replacement to arrive. If you're one of the lucky parents that didn't get a defective music insert, then I'll bet you'll love this product.
UPDATE - August 1, 2008
So I got the replacement for the piano insert and, as I thought, it broke about 2 weeks after we received it. I called Baby Einstein customer support (1-800-793-1454 Prompt #5) and they were fantastic. They contacted Kids 2 for me and requested a refund for the full price of the toy. Kids 2 called me and were very apologetic and accommodating. They are sending out a refund check as well as another replacement piano insert. My daughter still loves the toy and uses the piano every day (when it works). I wanted to let you all know that the customer support with Baby Einstein is amazing. If you do get a broken bouncer, you will get great support from the Baby Einstein support staff (Mary and Donna).
Not what I expected By A2K983C65KG66 on 2008-05-30
My son currently has the Rainforest Jumperoo and he loved it so much I thought I would get him another jumper to keep at his daycare for him.
I really likes the looks and activities that the Baby Einstien jumper ha and since it was a little bit different with activities and sort, I bought one.
I have to say right away, this jumper is extremely tight as far as jumping is concerened. The springs are very stiff and when my son tried to jump, it barely moved. He is 8 months old and quite strong. He got tired of this jumper very quickly and wanted to go back to his Rainforest Jumperoo. And once I put him in his other jumper, he was as happy as a lark! Jumping away like mad.
Now the good point is that it folds up more easily and compact than the Rainforest Jumperoo and it doesnt unfold when tring to move it place to place. Thats a plus!
But as far as the jumping goes, no way! het the Rainforest Jumperoo, that is so much better!!!!!
I already got rid of the Baby Einstien Jumper!! Thumbs down!
Jump! Jump! Jump!!! By A38F9NFZI05T6A on 2008-05-06
My son loves this activity center... great to let him jump, jump, jump and not have me worry about the strength of my door moldings as support... the only down side is he drools ALOT and he shorted out the piano which was one part of the toy he really liked...
Glorified ExerSaucer By A1DFOYXO2PWCT6 on 2008-05-31
I went looking for the Rainforest Jumparoo and settled for this one as the other was out of stock. My 6-month old had previously "test-driven" the Jumparoo and she fell in love with it in about 2 minutes. I decided this was a good option given that it was both an activity center and a jumper. Sadly, I was wrong. It is an activity center for sure but is a poor excuse for a jumper.
It took a fair amount of work to put it together (much more than the Rainforest Jumparoo I ended up finding later) and the springs are so tight that she can't jump at all! I think the placement of them might also make it difficult because they end up being more horizontal than vertical. On the plus side it's got a lot of great toys and loops for you to hang other toys although the battery-operated piano only worked for the first day even with two fresh from the store sets of batteries. It will be going back.
Love this! By A3QDVES35H9EXF on 2008-04-24
I can't say enough about this jumper. We have a VERY active little boy and with this jumper, he met his match. We started him in this at 4 months old. He liked it but didn't do much in it but play with the toys for the first couple of weeks and then all of a sudden, he was bouncing like crazy. He could seriously spend an hour in this while I emptied the dishwasher, fixed his food etc... He's 7 and a half months now and he still loves it. The only negative thing I can say is that I wish I could swap the toys out with new ones (the Evenflow has this option but doesn't bounce like this one) Also, the piano stopped working on this after a couple of months.
Regardless, he loves this more than any other jumper we've purchased (three so far).

Great product! Everything my baby (6 months) and I were looking for. He also loves the Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo that he tried at a friend's house. Moving the height up/down is very easy for play dates, if another child is a different height, or just when he grows a little taller. The reason I left off the final star, was because batteries are not included for the keyboard, and because there are clips for hanging toys, but no hanging toys included. Not a big deal, considering we have plenty of stoller toys, etc, to hang. Very satisfied, easy assembly, baby boy loves it!
- Great Investment

I researched a lot for this type of product and decided to buy this one. My daughter is 7month old and she loves it!! She jumps and jumps... She love to hang on it and watch TV too. I know others are more inexpesive but the Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper is easier to travel with and it give you choices for the music to sound like. Don't think about it too much and get it!! You won't regret it!!
- best of 3

We have the Baby Einstein Exercauser at home, the Activity Jumper at Grandy's house and the Fisher Price Jumperoo at the office. The toys and design on the Baby Einstein are way better than the Jumperoo, but bounce wise they are the same. The fact that he has the same brand exercauser at home with similar toys may be why he likes the toys better on the activity jumper than the Jumperoo. The Activity Jumper is awesome. The fact that you can hang plastic links and other toys from it is a good feature. The adults prefer the Activity Jumper to the Jumperoo, but to the baby it's all the same.

She loves all 4 stations so when she gets bored with one, turn and there is another set of toys. She loves to bounce to the music ... She just gets so excited to see the toys every time we put her in it. It's 2 in one bouncer and entertainment ...

We have had this jumper for about 4 months now, and my son has used it everyday since (he is now almost 7 months old). We especially love how compact it becomes when folded up. We recently moved from Georgia to Maryland, and we carried this with us every step of the way. In fact, every trip we have been on, the Jumper has gone with us. It is so easy to colapse and put back up again. He loves chewing on all of the attachments and banging on the piano keys to make music, but most of all he just loves to jump. We have not had any problems with the piano breaking like some others have, so I guess we were lucky. In fact, considering the abuse it has taken after being taken in and out of the car numerous times it has held up amazingly well. I don't know what we would have done without being able to set him in his jumper while we were trying to move.
- great product

I bought this for my 5mo old. She's now 6mo and still loving it. I was able to put it together easily and it adjusts, so she was able to fit properly. I like the toy attachment rings. I can hook up any of her toys quickly. It even has the quick release break down, so transport is only a click away. My only gripes:
The seat doesnt turn too easily. My daughter has figured out how to push herself around though.
The piano music doesn't have the option for continuous music, so I have to hit the piano now and then. My daughter hasn't figured it out yet!
Outside of that, this is a great step up from her bouncing chair.
- Exciting Activity

My 6 mo boy started using the jumper right around 5 months when he was just getting his bouncer legs and able to keep his upper body straight. He hasn't stopped jumping since. When he isn't spinning one of the toys, smashing the buttons and watching the lights, spinning around, or chewing on the sun, he is holding on with both hands and jumping away. The jumper is sturdy, very stable and the liner comes out easy and is washable (for the times they get very jumpy after they fill their diaper.) We have fun playing with him when he is in the jumper. As with all the Baby Einstein products, a lot of the toys are interchangable, and can even hang other favorite toys. It is fairly big, so find a good spot and leave it there. You can break it down to move to another room, but i wouldnt want to do it every day. This jumper is well worth the money spent and I am sure will provide many more months of learning, fun and exercise for our loved one.
- JUMP, JUMP, JUMP!
     By ARDGTIOD79CDL on 2008-09-17
My son just turned four months old and was getting restless from just lying around, so I invested in this jumper, and it was the best idea ever! His personality comes to Life! He loves to jump, look in the mirror and spin the frog around and around! It gives him all sorts of things to do with sight, sound, and touch. All he does is laugh while he's in it. I can't stop watching him. I wish I had something like this for my daughter when she was younger. My husband was even impressed and told me that I bought something worth my money for once, lol! I would reccommend this Jumper to anyone with a young baby about my sons age because it allows them to experience and learn so much more with their senses.
- our son absolutely loves it. It does have a few drawbacks early on
     By A1OBUW48Y2GNMZ on 2008-10-03
Our son first HATED this thing. We put him in his aunts excersaucer, and he loved that. The problem was at the 3-4 month stage, the bouncer was too big in the seat and he wobbled too much. The bouncer springs made him feel unstable and insecure.
BUT.. after about 4 months he took a liking to it. At first I forgot to install the wheels to help the seat turn, so he hated it. I had put them aside thinking i will do it later (busy dad, ran out of time), forgot. Moved. Wife came by with a "what are these??" .. installed them instantly, put him in, and he could now easily turn.
He absolutely loves it. He will play by himself in it, or interacting with us for 30 minutes to an hour. He gets so crazy with the jumping on this thing. He is now 6 months and still loves it. He sounds like hes running when hes jumping (alternating feet like hes working out). He loves the toys, especially when we hang up his favorite toys.
Now.. on to the downsides of this:
1: 1 of the piano keys is broken or sticks and cant be pressed by an infant.. which is a bummer, its the Blue key, and it seems blue and green have the LEAST annoying songs. Whereas red (the most often pressed on) has the most annoying :)
2: the toy plate had 1 toy (the green clacking turn thing) that is just too hard for a little one to spin. Our niece commented on how it was stuck, and shes 4.
3) the Sun is too hard. Too many times he pulls the sun forward to chew on, then bounces and hits himself in the eye. Next time I see, it, its coming off
4) Seat is large, and leg holes are spread apart. Sometimes hard to get the child in (especially when theyre grabbing at toys while you struggle with their kicking and excited feet).
Positives:
1) Its heavy and large. I have caught myself using it as a footrest, and it doesnt even look like its under load. I bet this frame could support 100 lbs. I wouldnt try it, but good to know it can grow with a 30lb baby.
2) Extremely adjustable - aside from the seat - you can move it up on 5 settings. Better than some of the other brands with only 3 or so settings. Plus unlike some excersaucers, the springs adjust with height. Meaning, if youre on 1, the springs are loose. So a lighter/smaller child can enjoy it. If youre on 5, the springs are more tight, so a larger child gets same enjoyment out of it. Unlike others where theres merely a height setting, but 1 weight setting.
3) Numerous spots to hang toys. You can get the little rings and hang your childs favorite toys. And then alternate them to keep it fun and exciting.
4) the frog toy/mirror combo is great. He loves to use this as a handlebar and get some air, and then peek at himself in the mirror.
5) music is not overly loud, and actually has long versions of classical songs. A few i love, and its a treat when he plays them ;) There are 8 different songs, with 3 versions of each song in different tones. Plus theres a piano mode, however usually the blue key seems to not respond as easy as it should..
6) Small details like beveled/raised images. As your baby starts to be able to discover things like that, the small things like that will help bring a new developmental stage. Now our son likes to play with the little einstein beveled logo and studies how it feels on his fingers.
7) Great livingroom clothesline for trying off burp cloths and bibs :)
...It does fold up, but its solid and massive. It does look like something that is built to last for a few children. Our little man absolutely loves it, but remember, they will hate it while they get used to the lack of stability (and it wiggles). Stick with it, few minutes here and there. Then sooner or later you with here the pitter patter of them jumping.
Richard Simmons would be proud at the amount of workout they get with this.
and yes, had eveyrthing worked, it wouldve got 4 stars. Regardless, I would buy this for anyone i know even if i knew there would be a few bugs with the toys.
