  • Works pretty good

This gadget works pretty good, but is not perfect!

    Pros:
    >Has a lot of frequencies to choose from
    >Good FM Stereo sound & and is pretty good most of the time (sometimes there is some interference)
    >Very compact
    >Actually worked with my 1GB SD card
    >Comes with a remote (although you can easily operate the buttons on the unit by hand)
    >Remembers set frequency and last song played if you remove it from car (or turn power to unit off)
    >Great bargain for the technology

    Cons:
    >The display shows the frequency, track #, name of song; but it is so tiny you cannot possibly read it while driving!
    >The major flaw is that you cannot jump from one folder to next, you can only advance song by song (but I suppose that's ok if you have all your favorite songs in the SD card, or plug in an external MP3 player in the jack provided)
    >Another little glitch is that there is no OFF button on the device. My car's power outlet is always on. So I put the MP3 device on PAUSE when I stop listening (otherwise the songs will continue being processed by the MP3 player)

  • Good for the price, but does have some flaws

This FM Transmitter works well. I can hear a slight high pitch hiss at high speeds in my car, but it is not very noticeable at all. The remote was not working, but it was replaced by the seller quickly and the new remote he sent worked fine.

PROS: Accepts both USB flash drive and SD card for memory, has multiple channel tuning for large cities where it may be more difficult to find a non-used station, provides good sound quality over FM Transmission, and does not crackle at all.

CONS: When using the USB or SD card memory slots, you cannot start over from the same location where you stopped/turned off the car previously and you can't even fast forward to the point you were at before you turn off the car or unplug the device from the power outlet. This is aggravating because you have to start all over on a lesson plan or song or whatever you are listening to from the beginning. It would be nice if you could fast forward (and reverse) through the file to where you wanted to be or if the device remembered where it was when it was turned off. Remote does not have a fast forward or reverse on it either - you are able to jump through files or go back through files - not through a file itself.

This flaw may be overcome by using an MP3 player attached to the device with the included 3.5mm audio cable. Then you could use your player to reverse or FF through the songs/files to get to where you want to be.

  • Product not at all reliable - very disappointed.

I ordered two of a these units from "fjt3000". The first unit had a problem with the remote.. the seller replaced that unit and it's working now.

The second unit started blowing it's fuse the second day I had it (I replaced the fuse several times).. the seller did not offer to replace the unit, but said he would credit my Amazon account for the $15.xx, which he promptly did. He said he did not want to replace the unit. Currently his unit price increased to $60 on Amazon.

Both of the above units picked up ignition/alternator noise from the 4 different vehicles I used them in, a Ford Ranger, GMC Jimmy, Chevy Caprice. In the Honda Civic which has the radio antenna embedded in the rear window was not able to get a good signal from the MP3 player.

The "clamshell" the units arrived in were not sealed. I suspect the units were "seconds" for referbished.

  • Great portable player

Great buy. I usually use different vehicles so i decided to get this so i can carry my kinda music around. No longer have to worry about non mp3 car stereos. Quality is very good (i was surprised) particularly using the mini jacks. The remote is just great. Can control volume, frequency, even EQ. Only feature missing is a power button. Pulling this thing in and out is getting really old.

  • Good One

I own this less than a day now, but once i received it i just plugged it in to my car , it worked right away, i used USB drive and it worked well. The remote is really Handy to move around the songs and we can select any songs based on the number that is awesome. There is Stop/Pause button but no power off button.

I liked it need to test it extensively a little more.

  • very weak
    By A2YGAENRDLSPX9 on 2008-06-25
The only problem is this sucker is not strong enough and all the frequency is overpowering it. Worst if your car antenna is at the back. The feature is great escpecially the equalizer but you better look for stronger modulator for extra bucks.

  • Works pretty good and looks great
    By A2AXT2CMPFQMGR on 2008-06-30
This product seems to work very good for broadcating over FM. It sounds good and there are lot of stations to pick from. My only 2 complaints are when I use it with my MP3 Player. Hooking into the Headphone jack, it doesn't come across very loud so you have to turn up the radio really loud (but I think this is because of the MP3 player not this transmitter, but I was hoping it would work better). My only other complaint is that my MP3 player charges off of USB and I was hoping I could plug my MP3 player into this and have it charge while I used it, but it doesn't seem to provide enough current to charge it. Overall I would recommend it for the price. It works good.

  • works good

got it to works well, plays very well, and haven't had a problem since they helped me with a few minor problems.

  • Works Great!, but no detailed user manual
    By AQCW5S70WTL2I on 2008-08-07
Fine stereo and powerful enough to get a very good signal on a vacant channel on the car radio. I wish there had been a detailed user manual, but it is easy to figure it out yourself. The remote uses an IR transmitter and the front of the unit has to face the remote.

  • Good device - Bad audio performance
    By A2K3G8EOFHH51U on 2008-09-23
The FM modulator works as does the MP3 player port but the audio quality is not good. It sounds like an old AM station... very flat. Many frequencies seem to be just plain missing from the produced sound. What do you want from such a cheap device? I will keep this device as a backup but I will now purchase one with better sound quality.
