  Very seldom do I ever buy something without doing my research first. Especially when it comes to technology. This television set was one of many that I had my eye on. It was in my price range, a good size, and had a black border. Obviously I ultimately decided on this one and I'm VERY glad that I did. The sound quality is great right fromt the television, the picture is phenominal (it's an HD...duh), and it automatically resizes the screen back to sidebar if you're just watching standard channels.
  
  The only thing I would warn people about is the universal remote function. Being in the United States, I have Comcast for my service. The Comcast remotes that come with the boxes do NOT work on this television as of 5/20/2008. This may change in the future because the companies are always releasing new codes out however, they do not work right now. So if you're okay with a great looking tv but have to use two remotes: this is a great set for you!
  
  

• Where are the HDMI inputs?

  I received this as a present this past Christmas and put it in a small bedroom where the viewing distance was about 8 feet away and it was fine. Nice clean picture using co-ax cables but they don't give you a choice. There are NO HDMI inputs on this unit so there's no way to get true HD. Component cables are kinda of cumbersome from a cable box so I went with co-ax. In all honesty I still love the TV. It's very easy to move around and has a pretty good sound all on it's own. If the price was right, I'd buy another one.

  If you're looking for a state of the art LCD with all the bells and whistles, then this TV is not for you. But, if you're looking for an inexpensive, small TV for a spare room, kitchen, or other such application, this is well worth a serious look.
  
  I bought this for my Mom to replace an aging TV in her kitchen. Have been very pleased with it - excellent picture, and a snap to set up. The remote is uncomplicated, which is a big plus for Mom since she basically uses just channel up/down and volume. The stand is nice and sturdy, and tilts backwards (does not swivel side to side, however). A good viewing angle and a non-glare screen round out the major pluses.
  
  As you would expect at this price, you don't get a lot of advanced controls. There is a color temperature setting, but it's very basic (three modes). The sound is OK and on a par with what you get from most small sets - it's clear, but light on the bass, and just standard stereo (no surround sound). But, I was looking for uncomplicated, inexpensive, but a decent picture and this fits the bill nicely.
  
  Small downsides as well - the remote buttons could be bigger, as well as the on-screen prompts for setup (very small type). But these are minor points that don't detract from the overall value

  I bought this for my dorm room next year so I am expecting to play video games and watch tv with it. I have tested it out with my xbox and playstation and so far the picture quality has been great. I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants an affordable tv with a good picture

  Love my new HDTV. Excellent sound and picture. Looks great as well. My parents just bought a Sharp 15" for $ 30 less. This TV has much better sound quality. Definitely great value. Highly recommend.
  
  
• Good Picture Terrible Sound

  Great picture but the sound is terrible!! It sounds like it's coming out of a can. We can't even use this in a small room because of the terrible sound. We're sending it back due to this.
  
  
• Ain't no HDMI input!

  HDMI not a problem for me because I am putting this in a RV just for occasional use...but if you believe it has a HDMI input, it don't. Picture a little dim but Ok - and *only* 2 dead (I mean DEAD) pixels side-by-side on the far right side of the screen. Sound is definitely tinny but I plan to use the headphone output to connect to my RV stereo. All-in-all, you get what you pay for. Not too bad for a *cheapo* special HDTV. I'll keep it - but next year something better than this will probably be $150.

  We purchased this tv to replace a 13 inch CRT in our kitchen that was struck by lightning. We are more than satisfied with our purchase. Color is great. Size is perfect for the kitchen - we do not, however, have it hanging on the wall - we have it on a stand. This was the best price on this tv anywhere -- our local store had this same tv for $100 more.
  
  
• Good value, but poor sound

  Definitely a great value LCD TV. The picture is great but the sound is really the only negative. I purchased this TV to replace my equally cheap 13" CRT spare room TV with a single side speaker which strangely enough had better sound (before the speaker blew out). The sound is very tinny and can be hard to make out at times but I can live with it. Not disappointed since you get what you pay for but defintely worth highlighting.
