crocs Off-Road Clogx
    (29 reviews)
Best Price: $40.00
True to its name, the off road takes you off the beaten path.
Go Off-Roading in this clog from crocs--it's like a 4-by-4...for your feet. Its toe is reinforced and ventilated to provide breathable protection, while its thickly treaded outsole brings a very steady step--that won't get stuck in the mud.

Off Road Crocs By A1OHNYCZ4CULJI on 2007-07-30
Feel good and comfy. They are much sturdier than the standard croc and they have a toe cover to keep my toes from getting dirty.
Crocs are more than just a fad By A14UALKD4K86YU on 2007-07-25
It is great for feet that need the cushion and air. I use them for my job at a coffee shop and my crocs save them every day!!!
Croc Hummer By A17WAQDNLN0YDO on 2008-04-18
This is my third pair of Crocs, but these are different. They are tougher and the equivalent of a Croc Hummer -- without the $100 fill ups for gas.
I love 'em.
Definately Not Made for Off Road Use! By A1A21XP7O3B9ED on 2008-06-20
I bought a pair of Crocs Off-Roads about three weeks ago. I've only worn them a dozen or so times around the yard and today one end of a strap broke off as I was walking around.
The straps are simply attached through holes in the croclite and it appears to tear very easily. They may be comfortable, but they were definately NOT made for Off-Road use!
Velcro strap... By A2M40NVLAXW4PW on 2008-08-07
I went to REI to try on a bunch of different crocs styles. I would recommend people do this because they all fit a little different, especially if you're a size 13 like me. I found that "Beach" were way too loose and tended to fall off. "Endeavour" has more "exact" sizes?
The 13 was too loose and the 12 crammed my toe on the front end. I was going to give up, but with the velcro straps on the "off-road", I was able to buy a 13 and set the strap at a comfortable, slightly tighter position.
I've owned these off-roads for three months now. I use them strictly around the house, since I think they're a fashion train-wreck and would never wear them in public. I mean look, no one is going to mistake these for army boots. But by trying to look like army boots, they make me look like a pathetic poser...an overweight thirties dad in Docker cargo pants and army-green foam shoes. But! they're so darn comfortable...they fill a practical niche in my footwear collection.
The closed-toe is great for hosing off the deck or taking out the diaper pail, and I dock the velcro strap when indoors.
More complaints: the tread, supposedly so much beefier, is already worn down to be a little slick. The velcro strap often binds between the shoe and the black fastener when you're trying to move it forward. I wouldn't say I've been hard on them, so I really expected them to hold up better.
- Nice product, high price
     By A223QCN8I8R2KK on 2008-05-25
The off-road Crocs are heavy duty, I like the adjustable straps, they're a great every day shoe for wearing around the house and yard. I think they're a bit high priced at $40.
- Nice but flawed
     By A3C77XVNUI5UEU on 2008-07-05
I love my beach crocs, but the ventilation at the front of the show catches a lot of debris when I play outside with the dog. Off-Road crocs are closed across the front, but the adjustable heel strap literally rubs me the wrong way, and it tends to give me a blister no matter how I adjust it. They're good for yardwork and such, but not if I have to actually walk any great distance. Or run with the dog.
- Very Good, Not Great
     By A3L8IBF4RI4N3Y on 2008-09-14
This is the first pair of any Crocs I have purchased or tried.
After reading so many positive reviews and not very many bad reviews on Crocs (except for cosmetic reasons), I decided to try it out. I have been very pleased with my purchase just over a month ago. I am on my feet 8+ hours per day and am repeatedly moving, climbing ladders or standing upright in order to perform my job. As a fat person, I did not expect any shoe or clog of any kind to relieve all pain, but these Crocs have certainly been a very good asset.
I am not sure whether weight does or does not play a major role in the fact that my feet hurt after 8+ hours of standing up at work, these Crocs are easy to maneuver in, comfortable to stand in and convenient to slip on and off without any hassle. The toe cover on these off road Crocs prevent harmful materials from damaging my toes at work, but the open back doesn't offer much of any protection (unless you wear the strap behind your foot, then minimal protection is received).
It took a day, two days at the most for the Crocs to "break in" - mold to my feet. After that, I was very pleased with the fit and comfort. The traction is much better than I anticipated, but the Crocs are still loose enough to compensate for any tight/cramped feelings. I wear a normal shoe size 12 and I ordered this size 12 Croc and was lucky to find out that they feet near perfectly. I would not want them any looser.
A very good product, a very sturdy product (that I have experienced) and a happy customer. As with other reviews, I have yet to experience the strap breaking. However, I always make sure to take extra care when utilizing the strap so that I do not break it.
- crocs off road

These shoes are great! Have had promblems with my feet for years because of diabetes. I went to FL Folk festival near Jacksonville Fl recently and was on from feet from 11:00 to 11:00. My feet never bothered me the whole time. I would not say this if I did not belive in this shoe. I can ride my bike, canoe, hike and do all water gigs I was about to give up. By the way they are great in the water,Gulf, fresh water and they dry so fast you foget you were in the water. I know they might look like you need a helmet and have to have rope tied to your waist but I don't care. Just doing all these things I love again without pain is wonderful. However I did find another pair I bought called Yukon they are also built for comfort and look great. I call these my after 6:00 crocks.
- Perfect for outdoors and mud, great for around the house
     By A1ULJUW62MOLYB on 2008-06-07
I love these things. I used to think Crocs were lame until I got these offroad guys. They look great and I run them through anything and my feet rarely get wet or anything. The key is there are no holes in the very front of the croc and the slots on the side are smaller than the regular crocs. That allows you to go through mud and puddles without your feet getting wet unless your foot is submerged. I wore these to Jazz Fest in New Orleans when it was pouring for hours and everyone else was concerned about their shoes getting wet and I was living large.
Only downside is that they tend to keep your feet hotter than standard crocs since there is slightly less holes and ventilation. But not really that noticeable unless you have the black color and live in Florida.
- There isn't a more comfortable shoe!
     By A11S8PYOU6VX45 on 2008-06-07
I will probably own a pair of Crocs for the rest of my life or as long as they continue to make them and I continue to wear them out. I'm constantly asked where I got them. Look around quite a few different companies have copied the style and material. Crocs has many different styles for adults and kids and the copies are just of the original Crocs clog type. You'll love them, mark my words! Original Crocs are a bit pricy so no 5th star.
- worth the money
     By ANEUPVXP9GKJQ on 2008-06-09
I had heared that crocs were worth the extra money and are better then the knock offs I heared right. I have a big wide foot and was worried they might be to small. They fit perfectly.
- Painful as he!! without socks!
     By A3I4O5IG7S2HL6 on 2008-06-14
These are great with socks, except you look like a geek. But at least that stops or minimizes the bleeding. I wore these for a few block walk without socks and the blisters were unimaginable. Better to spend the money on a good pair of tennies. Pity. They are comfy with socks, but then you look ridiculous.
Heck of a trade off: Style or pain.
- Very comfortable, but BE CAREFUL!!
     By A2KP6AAETKCPMX on 2008-06-21
Well,I was very excited to have my first pair of Crocs. I returned one pair for a smaller size and wore them for one day barefoot. Within a few hours, the length of Indiana Jones/Crystal Skull, my feet developed a severe rash, that caused me problems. I went to my doctor, who said I was doing the right things to treat it, and seemed to get a bit better, so I wore them one more time a week or 2 later. This time, with socks, and on a very cool day, and my rash went beserk!!! It was a full blown infectous fungal nightmare. These shoes are not for everyone, and should have some warnings on them regarding potential issues like mine. I don't believe that I am the first to suffer this problem.
Thanks for listening,
Always an Amazon customer,

- Great Crocs !
     By AGK61P7ST2WC4 on 2008-06-28
This is my 4th different style of Crocs and it is by far my favorite ! It has a more substantial footbed and I like the fact that you can remove the back strap on this style. The only thing that would make this style better would be to offer it in more colors.
- Over-rated foam footwear!!!
     By ACYJ8CBX52FTG on 2008-07-01
For me, these are not nearly as comfortable as some people make them out to be. They are easy to slip on for kicking around the house and yard - be no where can I really find what I'd call comfort in them. Let's face it, they are plastic foam footwear - your feet will get hot and sweaty if you wear them long enough and those little bumps in the footbed are irritating. If you walk on rough surfaces frequently (ie., concrete, asphalt, etc.) the soles will wear out pretty rapidly too (for a $40 shoe). Would I buy them again? Maybe, but I think I'd strongly consider alternatives too.
- Saved my ankle!
     By AOLYCJOOANOAF on 2008-07-03
I love Crocs and wear a pair of Beach Crocs most days. About a month ago, I purchased a pair of these Off-Road Crocs to try on my 24 day trip to Guatemala and Mexico. I've loved my Crocs on previous trips because they were comfortable and easily washed off. I was looking forward to the thicker sole and toe protection that this style offered. They proved to be very comfortable over miles of walking and hiking.
In Mexico, I was getting out of a car when the driver suddenly took off and ran over my heel and ankle. As I fell to the pavement, my foot turned sideways in the Croc and the thick sole provided enough cushion to allow me to escape with a scrape and a bruise. It ripped my Croc where the strap connected on one side, but I was able to continue my travels and walk many more miles over the next week (in my Beach Crocs).
If you like Crocs, these offer a thicker sole, toe protection and an adjustable strap. I found that they were exactly what I was looking for. I plan to repair mine or get another pair ASAP. If you haven't tried Crocs, you might try a cheaper pair first.
- Geekily sturdy
     By A1B9W7LG5CQ8LL on 2008-07-04
This is at least my fifth pair of Crocs but my first off-road ones. OK, they are very geeky, but they are much sturdier than the Beach crocs. Like the covered toe and the adjustable strap. The sole seems thicker, firmer, and more durable than the regular ones. I will say, though, that the first day I wore them, I got huge blisters on the balls of both feet. And I was wearing socks! So at the moment, these are on hold while the blisters heal. But I have high hopes for them and I really don't care how geeky they look - I go for comfort!!
- Off Road Crocs are OK
     By A39U3CBMPGDY2G on 2008-07-08
Purchased and have worn these shoes/sandals extensively. Generally a good piece of footwear and comfortable for outside casual wear or in house wear. My only complaint about the product is the adjustable velcro fasteners that are intended to go behind the heel. Found that the excess velcro mmaterial was frequently catching on the cuffs of long pants or on other loose fitting material such as couch covers, blankets, etc. It would have been better had they stuck with the fixed length heel strap as the do on other models.
- wear it everyday!!
     By A3ER6ARJ23CIN8 on 2008-07-13
I love this shoe, I wear it everyday, its even better than a normal croc. Its tougher and I hope it lasts longer too
- cofortable, but make noise while walking
     By AQ7S2BMYH1AIJ on 2008-08-03
I've had several pairs of "clone" shoes and finally decided to step up to the real thing.
I really like these shoes!
the only problem (small one) is the velcro straps often make a "click" sound while walking.
- can't do with out crocs now
     By A20Q5RKQGHW371 on 2008-08-09
I work on my feet and have had back trouble and sore feet for many many years. Tried Crocs and found they are great but wear out pretty fast I got these off-road ones and have loved them and so far seem to last longer then the regular ones.. Wonderful product....
- crocs
     By A1SCKTHDWAUBZA on 2008-08-09
I find crocs very comfortable. The only disadvantage I have found is they allow weed seeds to get in my socks in open fields.
- I don't even have a car and I wear these all year long
     By AGNGN6A4N5WV3 on 2008-08-28
when I was in a car crash, my court opponent's insurence people said, "well, learn to like mud." I love mud! Because my feet never touch it when I walk to work, walk to the grocery story(from a feild about two miles down the highway) The soles are roughly mountain boot quality without the confinement of a prison in the summer, the cold misty muck of fall weather that gets in the un-mowed grass and mud on the construction site and the feild between my duplex home and the town proper in the spring/fall/winter seasons is minimal at most (even with cotton socks.) If you don't have a Honda, get a Hummer(for your feet). I actually walked home from my parents(in a huff) over christmas snow with in reason, it can be done(light snow and a side walk/roadside), though not deap slush! Thier are no front vents becasue it's off road clogging in nasty muck, and oil slicks in the feild these clogs(as they are called) can handle it! For ventalated front ends, get the other Croc Crayman or Beach and wear those around the house.
- Adjustable Strap
     By A1U7D0IBAF6J2F on 2008-09-07
The adjustable strap is awkward and difficult to adjust properly. It is also uncomfortable. I would have preferred the regular strap on the back.
