Junk By A328LV0X9E2CX0 on 2008-06-16
Don't buy this! It made my screen flicker non-stop and their is no easy way to return this product. It barely charges my computer and it was definitely not worth it. I'm sorry I didn't listen to the bad reviews but I needed it and did not think it could be that bad.
horrible. By A3R9ITD0DTWDXI on 2008-03-06
The charger is defective. It would blink at me and would make the screen flicker every second because it wouldn't charge my battery. Would not recommend this adapter or the seller BrilliantStore.
Dell PA-12 65 Watt AC Adapter OEM By A3GQ9SUFWQ7TV4 on 2008-01-19
My original adapter quit, so I ordered this one. It arrived on time & all the specs match. Most importantly, my Inspiron 6000 recognizes it & is recharged.
NOT 100% COMPATIBLE By A1123BF1P5Z44I on 2008-09-03
sounds like everyone having a problem is getting a charger with the wrong wattage, E1505 laptops require 90w adapters and E1405 laptops require 60w adapters, yet this company has both listed in the compatability section. Sounds like they are shipping underpowered 60w adapters to those that need 90w...
underpowering a laptop poses no real risk to your laptop but results in the underpowered screen flickering, a cut out in trackpad (mouse) power, and even a high pitched noise comming from the charger. underpowering also later results in a smoking and broken charger. These are ALL symptoms of a 60w charger being used for a 90w computer, and are ALL symptoms listed by other bad reviews.
i wouldn't buy one until they have the compatability mess figured out, or at least list the wattage of their product.
Worst thing I have bought in Amazon! By A35FZ8K5AH8W0N on 2008-03-14
Horrible I don't know what is happening but every time I plug it, it disables my mouse and start clicking it. I cannot work wile my computer is charging, I got to disconnect it for working. Please don't buy, you'll regret it.

- Worked at first...
     By AZ1TC12WMQEDJ on 2008-03-21
I bought this product last month and it worked great for two weeks. Then it began making a strange, high-pitched beeping that nearly drove me out of my mind whenever it was plugged in. I thought the neighbors fire alarm was going off. It also started getting incredibly hot.
I'm not sure if just mine was defective, since others do seem impressed with this product. I have contacted the company and have asked to be sent a new one...we'll see what happens!
- Not good
     By A173HAGBTX899K on 2008-05-15
I have had this cord only about 3 months at the most. It is already falling apart. Now I have to buy another one already.
- Was ok till just a moment ago..
     By A2P52SPNEHYPZ9 on 2008-06-16
It was going great for a while, working just as well as the original and all of that, but a few minutes ago, I heard it buzzing and I looked down. The charger was about 30 seconds from igniting and was smoking rather nicely. The connection between the power cord and the box on the cord was the part causing the problem. It had been sparking randomly, but then it would stop after one or two sparks.
I'm just going to return it and get one from somewhere else.
- Perfect.

This product is perfect for my laptop. It charges faster than my old one and I got a better deal. Thank you!
- Crapped out after 5 months
     By A18E53ZR5B82RM on 2008-07-14
Don't buy this item if you want it to last. This AC adapter worked fine for 5 months. Although, during that time it was really hot. I was afraid it would start a fire. I don't have to worry about it starting a fire because its now real cool. It still powers the laptop but will not charge the battery.
- Do NOT buy this product!
     By A3H5Q5ZS3QYP4Z on 2008-07-22
I received this adapter today. It is NOT a 90W adapter, as stated in the Technical Details section. Nowhere on the product does it say what the wattage is, and when I plugged it into my Inspiron 9200, my computer warned me that it was a 65W adapter, and that this would cause my computer to run slower and would take longer to charge the battery. I clicked "Okay" to continue using the adapter anyway. In less than a second, the warning message had popped up again, as if I had unplugged the adapter and plugged it back in. This happened continuously so that, after about 15 seconds and 20 attempts to click "Okay," I unplugged the adapter all together.
As others have said, I wish I'd paid more attention to the customer reviews and ratings.
- Was shipped counterfeit product and the picture of the item was misleading
     By A29F9PJ2JFKGXR on 2008-07-25
Though the description of this product is 'accurate' in that it will be recognized and will charge a laptop (specifically a dell latitude d610) it is NOT a genuine Dell product and carries no such mark as the picture implies. Also note that if the hardware attempts to verify the legitimacy of the adapter then it will not be able to do so (for example, my PR01X dock does /not/ work with this product, giving an "adapter could not be identified" message). This product also does not carry the Underwriters Laboratories mark of approval and lacks a serial number -- clearly a counterfeit product.
- Get less than what you pay for!
     By A3FYSXK6HSDGN5 on 2008-08-22
After only 2 weeks (equating to about 4 uses), it became clear why the item was priced so inexpensively. It doesn't work. A few times it charged my laptop, but now it will only power my laptop, not charge it (and the computer is warning me that it can't detect what type of power cord is plugged in). I have a Dell E1505. I would recommend passing on this item if you have the same model computer; but really, I would recommend passing on this item regardless! I guess you have to spend the money and pay Dell's exorbitant price on their legitimate replacement adapter, not this so-called "equivalent replacement part."
- Low-quality product
     By ADBXIGMHV6QV6 on 2008-06-19
I bought this item to replace the original power cable for my Inspiron E1505, which was fraying. Yet every thirty seconds, this item would click off for a second and then come back on, which was highly distracting and probably not good for my computer. Additionally, having the computer plugged in often made the pointing device malfunction--it would move with difficulty and click like crazy, making work impossible until I unplugged it. I complained to the company, which quickly sent a replacement. The replacement works, but it also makes the pointing device malfunction occasionally, and it's beginning to fray after only a few months. This really is a cheap piece of junk.
- don't buy this
     By AQQF6V6U61VIR on 2008-10-29
It worked fine for about a month and then suddently it just died without warning. No overheating, no noises. It just stopped working. Too bad...
- Great product!
     By AI3MT04R45Z9Y on 2008-01-19
Perfect fit for my laptop, charges better than the original adapter, for half the price!!!
- Works with Dell Inspiron 1501
     By AT522GMMXIK24 on 2008-07-29
I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop, and my AC adapter quit working for me. I started looking for a replacement, and the prices were all over $50. And when I read reviews for the actual dell product, there were a lot of people who had problems with their adapter. When I found this adapter on Amazon, I was afraid at first to try it, but I am glad that I did. I received it very fast (before the estimated date of arrival), and it worked with my computer without a problem. So, at this time I am very satisfied with my purchase!
- Cheap quality, but cheap price; acceptable overall.
     By AZYKOL3O4F5FE on 2008-09-06
My only real complaint is that it is not very clearly marked as an aftermarket/non-Dell item - the photo, for example, is of the real Dell part. Only after it arrived did I notice that the listing made clear in the description that it was a aftermarket.
Overall, it's acceptable for the price. I've tried it with both my D620 and my wife's D630 without a problem so far on a couple of days of use.
That said, the overall quality is "cheap":
- the plug fits loosely
- the DC-side (adapter-to-computer, not adapter-to-wall) cable is much shorter than the real Dell unit.
- it's much lighter than the real Dell unit
- there's no wrap-around strap, although there are grooves on the side for one
Lastly, it gets hot, but so do the real Dell PA-10 and PA-12 units.
- It works!
     By A34AOJ8KYDHEVO on 2008-05-10
The replacement adapter works but the cord cover tore away from the battery and the wires are exposed. I hope it keeps working but so far so good.
