  I had to return the item.
  
  I own an original (phat) psp1000.
  
  The batteries themselves are just tiny big "fatter" than the original psp battery, so it took a lot of pressure to put the cover back on after putting the new battery in, which is not really a big deal.
  
  Battery #1:
  It powered on the PSP no problem, but my psp would randomly turn off in the middle of the game (sometimes I could play 20 minutes, sometimes 2 min).
  
  Battery #2:
  I charged it for over 10 hours, it never even worked. The psp never powered up, as if there was no battery in there at all.
  
  My original battery works great, and I had never had a psp crash or turn off.
  
  The mouse pad is actually pretty cool.
  
  Why I am giving 2 stars instead of 1:
  Customer service was great. I had to return the item through the seller, and Amazon told me I had to get a RMA (or whatever it is called) number. I was not thrilled. I called the number, and it was the best experience. The guy was really nice, he asked me what the problem was, he was very apologetic (I mean, it is ony $40, not really that big of a deal). The return was extremely easy. They paid for my shipping back too. The agent gave me his number with extension to call him if I had ANY problems. WOW! You would think I was calling to complain about a brand new Ferrari that I bought. On top of that, he gave me a $10 gift certificate for "my inconvenience" (which is not really a big deal, and I am probably never gonna use it, but I was pleasantly touched).
  
  So with that said, the customer service is great. Apparently, they sell a lot of these third party batteries for PSPs, so I would suggest you go ahead and buy it and see if it maybe will work for you. I would feel confident that if you have any trouble with the purchase, you will have no problems getting a refund.
