  They were nice jeans, but not right for the person I bought them for. I returned them to Macy's over two weeks ago and they said they still haven't recieved them and that it could take 25 days. So I'm really not happy about that, but, as long as they give me a credit on my credit card for $29.99, I'll be happy. I will let you know how and when this transaction occurrs.   this is the second pair of levis i ordered through amazon. it was identical to the first pair except the first was made in lesotho the second in egypt. both were 36x29, but the second, the one under review here, the one of egyptian manufacture, was somewhat tighter, really almost too tight, and the button hole was too small, had to be forced. clearly levi strauss no longer has the standard for which they were famous, and here as in so much else caveat emptor (latin for 'buyer beware').

  When we shop at the stores we have not been able to find more than 1 or 2 pairs of Levi's 36X32 at a time;so we thought we would try ordering several (5 pairs) online. I was very disappointed that the Levi's were delivered 1 to 2 pairs at a time over the course of about 5 weeks. I thought the fabric would be more like the old original dark blue rather than the "washed" finish.

  I don't usually order much chothing online because of fit issues.But jeans are usually consistant in sizeing. So I ordered a pair 501's using an IPHONE.Well anyone with an IPHONE knows what pressing the wrong letter is like. I accedently ordered the wrong size.I didn't realize it untill I saw the shipping confirmation. I found out who the seller was(Charleston Department Store)and was able to call them.An extremely helpful person told me she would send another pair with a free return label for the original pair. Now that Levi's 501 Jeansis what I call service.I will get all my future Jean purchaces's this way.

  I purchased a quantity of 2 -- one fit perfectly and one was slightly large in the waist and long in the inseam. The tag indicated the size that I had purchased, but the fit was off. I would say that it was about a half size too large.

  My fiance loves these jeans and I always thought he was nuts that he had to try on the same 505's in the same size but found out you need to read the tag where they were manufactured. At the same store in the same size the same jeans were made in different countries resulting in a different fit. So now we know to look for the country that made them before we buy. They are still a favorite of both of ours as long as we get the same cut.
  Hopefully my purchase today will be the right ones! This is a test I guess.

  I'm giving these only four stars because these are coniderably longer than any other 38x34 that I have tried. I also have a few others 505 relaxed fit models and these fit differently. They are still very comfortable and nice looking, and for $32 shipped, I think they are an awesome deal.

  I purchased Levi's 505 regular fit for my Husband, and he is hard to find the right length, the size is no problem. he had lost 51-lbs of weight from being ill, now he is eating better. so, i got 34x29. my husband tried them on and they fit to a T, even after i washed them. Levi's is the only denim this family can wear, they are the perfect fit. I highly recommend Levi's brand denim, they have been around since the 1853.

  Very difficult to find levi jeans with a 29 inch inseam unless you have a huge waist. Found these and not only were they the 29 in length, there was no shipping fee. Came right on time in great order. Price was good too.
