Best Price: $350.99 $209.69

Imagine staring at the Samsung Touch of Color Series T220HD 22" widescreen HDTV monitor. A luxurious glass-like frame with gracefully sculpted edges is fused to a rose-black bezel, giving a soft hint of rich red. The result is an elegant HDTV monitor that feels more like handcrafted artwork than a high-performance video display. The T220HD features a built-in digital HDTV tuner capable of HD 1080p, a USB hub and 2 HDMI connections. The Samsung T220HD 22" widescreen HDTV monitor. On or off, it's a thing of beauty. While the crystal-like bezel frame catches light beautifully, it actually reduces reflection of light off the bezel. And since the rich red color is injection molded for a blown glass effect, instead of spray painted, there is less environmental impact. It's easy on your eyes as well as on the environment. • exactly what i need

    By A22PVH1UOUX5KN on 2008-08-22
I have a 20-month-old boy who loves to break things, so I have to take all my gaming consoles out fo the living room and into the study, where my PC is. So I thought it would be nice to get a LCD monitor with component input for my old consoles, as well as HDMI for potential new consoles. After lots of research I picked the T220HD, because it also comes with digital tuner. I am very happy with the choice because it is exactly what I thought it would be. it's very versatile and display everything well, and I am especially impressed with the digital tuner which picks up all the network OTA HD broadcast using a cheap indoor HDTV antenna, when my PCI tuner card (Avermedia A180) could pick up 2 or 3 using the same antenna in the same position. It's not perfect, however.

    What's to like:
    - Component input allows connecting older devices without HDMI.
    - 2 HDMI ports
    - Input source button cycles through only ports that are plugged in.
    - digital TV tuner is excellent.
    - Build in speaker/headphone jack/audio out port. Speakers are not great, but having them means you don't need extra adaptors to capture the audio from HDMI/component devices.
    - Remote control. OSD navigation is so much easier and more intuitive with it. And this is really useful when turning the unit on/off, making this a true LCD TV.
    - Has 16:9 aspect ratio option so that pictures don't have to be stretched to full screen.
    - Unit is very light, only 13 lb.
    - Picture is bright and clear, no dead pixel for me.
    - Screen is matte, not glossy.

    What's really annoying to me:
    - Unit is light because base is mostly plastic, not very rigid.
    - touch sensitive power on/off button. Everything else is tactile and on the side of the monitor, except for power. turning the unit on/off using this button usually requires several presses. Might that be that big of an issue if the unit is not so light and stand so flimsy, I have to grab the whole bottom edge when I try to turn it on this way. Good thing there's the remote.
    - My unit has quite a bit of backlight bleed at the center of top and bottom edge. Hard to see when using DVI input, but when viewing HDTV, with the black bars on top and bottom to get the correct 16:9 aspect ratio, the bleeding is obvious.

What are the missing features which I don't care much about:
    - the stand is basic, no height adjustment, no portrait mode
    - no PIP
    - can't be mounted to the wall
    - Cannot customize the individual RGB color tone when in DVI mode. Can only select between one of the 3 presets (warm, normal, cool).

    Other nitpicks:
    - monitor frame has piano finish (glossy), including the inner side which reflects what's on screen. Kind of annoying , and maybe makes backlight bleeding seem worse than it really is.
    - most of the connection ports are on the back of the unit facing back. While this makes the ports easier to see than a lot of other models that has the ports on the bottom facing down, it also makes insertion of wires, especially the component video ones, harder becasue you are pushing/applying force perpendicular to the LCD panel. You don't want to put your other hand on the LCD screen, but if you don't, then you really can't get a good push.

  • It' a great TV/Monitor and is wall mountable

    By A2F820DVKRMJ6J on 2008-11-26
There seems to be some confusion whether or not the T220HD can be wall mounted. Granted it does not have the VESA holes but SamsungParts has a wall mount adapter WMB1900T 19-22 VESA 100X100 bracket. Why Amazon doesn't show this item as an accessory for the T220/T220HD I don't know. As far as the T220HD goes it has all the bells and whistles you need the only thing i think is missing is a USB hub. This link should get you to the bracket. Wall Mount Bracket 19-22"

  • Great TV

    By AO6ZPO6ZUUK5M on 2008-07-08
This TV basically blew me away at the store. I was there to buy a 26" vizio or sharp aquos and ended up with a cheaper and much better Samsung T220HD. The picture, while smaller, was darker, clearer and crisper than the others and I felt like the better deal was this tv over the larger ones. I use this in the bedroom so the size was less of a concern but overall a great tv.

  • WELL DONE, SAMSUNG

    By A21SBTCID70GDU on 2008-09-26
I wanted a good TV/PC MONITOR: good TV sound/picture and simple switch
to a PC monitor that ALSO worked well. This is it!

This TV/MONITOR connected to standard TV/INTERNET cable quickly.
Windows XP immediately accepted the monitor, no questions asked.
When I switched to the TV on the remote, it immediately displayed
TV channels. The on-screen menus are clear and progressive; simple
to use.The built-in TV speakers are OK. Frankly, like most TV speakers,
they should be better. Part of my researched buying decision included
the headphone jack. There is only an optical digital audio out connector.
So I connected the TV speakers to my high quality desktop speakers via
an audio cable from the TV headphone jack to the line-in speakers.
Now I have a great TV picture and surreal audio.

CONS: One thing, Samsung should provide a much better user manual that
FULLY explains the connectors/use. I called their tech support (800-726-7864) and surprise, they were fast and helpful.
Several other reviews are critical of the stand, backlighting, weight, etc. Now that I am using this product, I do not understand any of these criticisms. Especially, since the LCD HD TV only added about $50. to the
total cost of replacing my PC monitor.

  • Samsung T220HD LCD Monitor

    By A12WAGUZCLF2U5 on 2008-08-01
I ordered this LCD monitor for my son to use in his bedroom as a TV. I thought it would be neat to have if he wanted to hook it up to his laptop or a desktop later. The picture is awesome, the clarity of the colors are right up there with any of the other stand alone HD televisions we had looked at. This is truly a great monitor that thinks it is a TV. We also have a Samsung 52 inch DLP, and the picture on this one gives it a run for it's money.

  • Perfect, versatile TV monitor!!
    By A3DKQKGAUFTWL7 on 2008-08-16
To previous reviewers who slammed this product just because it didn't have a wallmount option: nowhere does Samsung claim that these TVs are wall-mountable. Just because you didn't pay attention to product details doesn't mean the item is faulty...just that you picked the wrong one for your needs. Those who slammed this TV for its lack of a wall mount make about as much sense as someone trashing a beamer m6 for being bad for carpooling...

anyway, just got my 22" T22HD and it is beautiful, and comes with plenty of nice surprises...
for example,it's incredibly easy to assemble: they attach a special turning handle on the stand's phillips-head screws so you don't a screwdriver to put it together (tiny but nice improvement from the last samsung tv i put together: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LNT2354H-23-Inch-HDTV-White/dp/B000N50RUK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1218910378&sr=8-3)
It comes with a ton cables for use with peripherals and PCs (haven't used these yet) and lastly, has a cool touch-based power "button" (no actual button, just press on the bottom right of the monitor's frame to turn it off and on)!
Once you manage to turn it on, the monitor's contrast adds nice depth to images and espn action clips stay pretty sharp.
Don't know much about the TV's longevity yet, but so far am loving every aspect of this red/black samsung 22" HDTV! :)

  • Good monitor but...
    By APZU1ZHJQMP3R on 2008-08-05
I had to return the first monitor back to store in one day. It was defective out of the box. The screen would continuosly blink and wouldnt show any image. After returning the first one, I got another one same model. The monitor and TV functions are great. It has two HDMI inputs of which one is conveniently located to the side of the monitor along with a head phone jack. The HD picture quality is great although not as sharp as the 22" Vizio that I returned for not having a digital dvi input. Samsung claims that it supports 1080P although there is no mention of it on the box and product documentation that came with it. The only problem that I have with this one is that when being used in computer monitor mode, it takes anywhere from 4-30 seconds to turn back on when my laptop turns off the screen and back on. This gets really annoying if you want to look up something quickly and your monitor takes a random amount of time to turn back on. It is not an issue with my laptop as my laptop screen turn on almost immediately. Hopefull Samsung will release a simple firmware upgrade to fix this issue.

  • Excellent HDTV and Monitor
    By AMH2JJC2ODX46 on 2008-09-03
This product is the best television I ever bought, and monitor is the same, the clearness of the picture is great. Have a very nice look, and the color red and black it has, is great.

This is my first HDTV and I'm very happy, no dead pixels and no problems with anything. The HDTV Tuner works perfectly and the menu and all the functions it has, are very easy and good looking. Changing between the sources is very simple and easy.

Excellent product, I recommend this product.

  • Great buy
    By A9IJ8DK614JN5 on 2008-10-21
Great product. This single monitor is a two in one, television and a computer monitor. This monitor provides great picture quality. I don't have cable TV, so I just bought a cheap attenna from Bestbuy and plug it into the back of the monitor and I get about 12 crystal clear, digital channels. The remote control is easy to switch back and forth between TV and computer input. I would recommend this product to anyone.

  • Nearly flawless monitor
    By A1IIOTS66G5BOZ on 2009-08-16
I bought the T220HD to meet all my needs in college, since it's practically a media center once you connect cable tv, a laptop, and gaming consoles to it.

    What I like:
    - Amazing picture quality. 720p video looks gorgeous. The colors are crisp and I see no backlight bleeding.
    - The built-in menu options. I really like setting it on dynamic contrast or auto-volume, and let the television adjust its volume and color to complement what I'm watching.
    - The monitor itself is just sexy. I love the styling.
    - The built-in tuner works wonderfully! I connected it up to the same antenna, and simply told it to find available channels. Within a minute I had more crisp and clear television channels than the main HDTV in the family room.

    What I don't like:
    - The touch sensitive power button. I don't have any problems with it working on the first try like other reviewers, but without a tactile button I have to blindly stab in the general area to turn it on in the dark.
    - The stand doesn't tilt as far down as I'd like. The viewing angle is worse down than it is left, right, or up, so I have to pay attention to where I put it in the room so I have a clear picture.
    - My refurbished unit didn't come with all the advertised extras. It didn't come with an audio cord, the manual, or a remote. This is no fault of the monitor, just something to think about if buying refurbished.
    - No S-Video port.

    Other comments:
    - The inside of the bezel is reflective. It's not noticeable from a distance (like watching television or movies) but I did notice that the last quarter inch of my screen was reflected when I used it as a monitor (since I was sitting closer).
    - The monitor plays nicely with Vista, but Ubuntu didn't want to display it at its full resolution.

Wow looking back, my dislike list is longer than my like list. But I really am spectacularly pleased with it... Completely happy with my purchase.

  • A bit of a story
    By A35FI315MWZPFP on 2009-04-12
This review includes a bit of a twist. I purchased this product as a gift for my wife several months ago. She liked it so well that I decided to order one for myself. Sure enough the day after I ordered it, her T220HD went on the blink. Here is the really great news. I called Samsung support and was totally stunned; no wait, a very pleasant tech to talk to, minimal trouble shooting and they replaced the TV in three days--I didn't even have to box up the old one; just took it to the UPS store and they gave me the new one and took the old one. Great Service!!

  • Another excellent Samsung monitor
    By A2US0QBGZ6BIMB on 2008-11-18
This is our second Samsung HDTV monitor and it lives up to the 32" we have. We have it connect to a HD cable box, a HDMI DVD player and an aerial. The picture is as good as you can imagine, excellent color and contrast.

There are a few issues that you might be interested in:

The sound is dreadful, not bad but dreadful. I guess Samsung assumes you are going to use a separate sound system. I put together a sound set up with some old multimedia speakers I have (Klipsch) and an optical to analog audio converter Digital Audio To Analog Audio Converter and use the cable box AC socket to power up the audio system but most people don't want to figure out something like this. Samsung really should make a one piece model with decent forward facing speakers.

Our HDMI cables arrived a few days after the set so we used the component input first. On this set it's clearly softer then the HDMI inputs so if you have HDMI compatible devices, use it.

Our cable system uses HD boxes that don't talk well with the Samsung. Sometimes we get an error message that implores us to use component instead of HDMI but it goes away quickly and the box works anyway. This was a problem with our first Samsung two years ago and it hasn't been dealt with yet. Also the cable box sometimes puts out a signal that causes a slight contrast change at the top and bottom of the picture. It changes with the channel. It never happens with the DVD player or the aerial.

We live in an apartment so the aerial reception is spotty. Our 32" set which is far from the windows gets better reception then this set which is next to a window. Is this due to the tuner in this set? We can't tell yet.

This is an excellent purchase as long as you know the sound problems.

  • FANTASTIC DEAL!
    By ANRG3161YUGNH on 2008-09-30
GREAT Monitor/TV . Easy set up out of the box, functional remote and OK sound. FANTASTIC picture quality at 1080, regular TV, well is regular TV. The price was unbelivable, similar monitors at 720I were priced much higher.

  • Excellent HDTV for small room, straight-on viewing
    By A60D5HQFOTSOM on 2009-07-15
Samsung packages this HDTV/computer monitor in a box showing it used as a TV in a kitchen. Do that and you won't be happy. To further the Samsung confusion, they refer to it on their web site as a computer "premium monitor". So. If you want an HDTV to view from 5-7' away, pretty much straight on, this one's great. I urge you to set it up right. I'll try to squeeze in settings: Tools menu: Standard. Menu|Picture|Mode:Standard Backlight:7 Contrast:83 Bright:68 Sharp:73 Color:36 Tint: G44R56 Picture options: Color tone: Normal Size:wide Digital NR:Auto HDMI Black Level: Low Film Mode: Off AUTO VOLUME: AUTO! Setup: Energy Saving:Low Keep it set at 16:9 I've had it about 2 months and find the image terrific, and I'm a lifelong live TV producer. I would suggest adding pair of high quality amplified speakers, and I mean high quality (speakers for audio, not home theater), but if you set the audio to AUTO, you won't be really disappointed with the Samsung's built-in audio unless you watch a lot of movies.

  • Great picture, some serious design issues to be aware of ...
    By A3OL0OZTKT08WO on 2008-12-27
I purchased this set at Costco the other day ($[...], for reference) after having returned a 19" Toshiba I had bought a week before at another retailer. I was looking to replace an old kitchen TV that had breathed it's last. It may be an excellent computer monitor, but as a TV it's lacking. I'm afraid I will end up taking this one back, too.

Strong Points: Excellent picture quality, fair-enough design, sound ... well somewhat better than the Toshiba 19", but not by a lot.

Issues: (Judge for yourself what is important to you) If you're using it as a TV, some may be significant.

    1. No composite video input
    2. No S-video input
    3. Sound is only fair (ok for the kitchen, not so much for a bedroom)
    4. Only one component input
    5. Not supplied with a comprehensive manual - available as .pdf
    6. Screen aspect ratio is 16:10 (not 16:9, though I understand this is not unusual for smaller LCDs), so maintaining true HD aspect ratio will result in slight black bars top and bottom.
    7. (This one drives me crazy!) Does not adjust image width in the same manner most other flatscreen TVs do. By that I mean that there is no adjustment that will widen the image comparatively more on the sides than in the middle of the image. The result is that you are forced to endure the black bars on the sides, or widen the image equally (wide setting, which would be just right for an anamorphically compressed image), so with a 4:3 broadcast image, it makes everybody look fat. There are a couple of zoom settings which chop off too much top and bottom.

This unit seems to me more a computer monitor with a tuner built in, rather that a unit designed from the ground-up as a TV. For HD programs ... assuming that you don't need great sound, it's beautiful.

BUT, you can't plug a VCR into it, other than perhaps through the RF modulator, (remember, if you have a combo VCR/DVD player, the VCR part won't play back through the component outputs) so in my judgment, it's lacking essential features. Too bad, the Samsung image quality is very good.

Guess I'll have to find a different 19" Samsung TV (with the features I want) in white to match the kitchen decor. My wife will be happy. And that's what it's all about, n'est ce pas? Even when it comes to consumer electronics.

  • Great Picture and Style, Poor Quality Speakers
    By A1LCCFX7QYI95L on 2008-09-09
    First of all, The Pros:

The design and the picture quality of this monitor is EXCELLENT! I purchased this as both a monitor for my computer as well as a Guest Bedroom television and it serves those functions well. The built in tuner is a great addition as well!

    Cons:

The speaker as well as the volume of the speakers is very low. If you are looking to get blasted with a HD quality movie, this won't do it. Also, it is not possible to hook up any externel speakers to this monitor. You will have to rely on you computer speakers.

The bottom line is this is a terrific HD monitor for your computer at a fairly affordable price.

  • Perfect for my PS3 / PC Monitor
    By A3JMNANGI8JVMV on 2009-05-31
I did a lot of research on this HDTV before I actually decided to get it while comparing it to the Vizio 22 inch with 1080p resolution. There's a need for me to split the signal from my PS3 to a 40" Samsung HDTV (1080p) and into this 22" HDTV. The average reviews are right on the money and I can't believe the price for this model is actually less than $300. The Vizio HDTV is about $329 at target and not much difference elsewhere but with a mediocre performance.

    Pros:
    - Excellent & stunning HD display at 1080p/720p even from the PC
    - Nice profile for a desktop table, elegant for a multimedia center
    - More than enough ports you will ever need (2 HDMI/component/DVI/VGA/optical etc)
    - Very good location for input/output ports; 1 HDMI at the back and 1 at the left side. I actually like the fact that the 3.5mm headphone jack is also at the left side near the 2nd HDMI port
    - Built-in HD tuner
    - It's a Samsung, very reliable brand that rivals Sony in quality, design and performance minus the hefty price

    Cons:
    - The stand is a little flimsy, monitor shakes a bit when you nudge the table
    - It's true that the sound is below par but when I'm on PC monitor mode I have 2.1 speakers and my PS3 is connected to a 5.1 Kenwood receiver with 600watts of power / PS3 mode can use headphones as an option (not really an issue for me)
    - The remotes for my 40" Samsung HDTV and this model have the same signal, they're about 6 feet apart so one remote activates both of them which is annoying when you're playing and somebody turns off one monitor - both of them will actually turn off.

All in all, the pros easily outclass the cons. In my opinion, this is the best 22 inch HDTV with 1080p res out there. This product is so underrated maybe because it's not sold in retail stores. Bestbuy sells the same class at least $350 with 720p res; some of them even $400+. This is truly a steal and impressive engineering design (coming from an engineer)!!!

  • Best Kept HDTV Secret
    By A91YPBRXDEAWX on 2008-12-30
When I was looking for a HDTV for my room to plug my Playstation 3 into. I wanted something between 22" to 26". When I came upon this product, I thought it was too good to be true. This LCD HDTV acts as a computer monitor, TV (with a digital tuner), and has two HDMI inputs for your game consoles, along with other inputs. When I was about to pushed the "confirm order" button on Amazon, I had to recheck my order to see if this was really a TV as well. It was way too good to be true. I went on to Bestbuy and check if they had this product... they had the screen that ONLY works as a computer monitor (no TV or HDMI ports) and it's price was more expensive!

The TV looks amazing. 1080p on this screen is GREAT! The day I set it up, I was shocked with the clarify of the picture. Another thing I liked was the menu on the TV. All in all, this is a GREAT product! Great for a TV for a small bedroom, kitchen, etc. I would and plan on buying another one soon! I would recommend this product to someone on a budget but wants a good looking TV.

  • Great Monitor. Period.
    By A5CDMTW6JKV5G on 2009-03-06
Before you go and buy this, you must understand that this is a computer monitor that has the cool capability of also being a good TV. Obviously, it wont have the bells and whistles of a full featured TV, but, it has enough functions to be a good HDTV. This is meant for people who need a computer monitor, but also want the feature of using it as a TV as well, to save on money and space. If that is you, then by all means buy this Monitor.

  • awesome HDTV for a MONITOR price !!
    By ATPBY4GBMI0ZH on 2009-02-10
ok, i do plenty of research before purchasing any product and especially for any electronics from online. i read all the pro and con opinions (both amazon and external websites) to ultimately make a decision on brand and model. and after 2 months of tv use, i have one thing to say:

THE SAMSUNG T220HD IS ONE OF THE BEST VALUE PURCHASES I'VE MADE IN A LOOOONG TIME !!

why do i say the best "value purchase"? just look at the title of this LCD hdtv: oh wait, it's not a TV! it's an HD monitor with a "1080p digital HDTV tuner"! why is this so important? compare the price of the actual Samsung Touch of Color 22" HDTV (Samsung LN22A650 22-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with RED Touch of Color) and with this Samsung T220HD monitor and the price difference is $200! this means that it's almost 40% less than the compared HDTV! and this also means that you're getting all the benefit of an HDTV in a HD monitor that has the quality of all Samsung brand tvs.

as a matter of fact, since the T220HD is technically a monitor, it isn't even listed in the TV category. it used to be that the difference between an LCD HDTV and an LCD HD monitor was that to technically call it a TV, it had to include a TV tuner and speakers. most monitors do not have either a tuner and/or speakers. i don't know how this is still considered a monitor because it has both!

furthermore, the picture quality is superb. i previewed the picture quality at a local electronics store and it matched up with all the small HDTVs. you can read all the other reviews and their nitpicks, and that's okay. but i'll tell you right now, the sound quality is what you're gonna get from any 22" tv. and yes, the tv does not swivel. i have no problem with the stand because it serves its purpose and i'm never touching it so why complain? one thing that i like on this even better than the actual tv is that the bezel is a lot thinner on the T220HD. lastly, the touch of color is such a nice...touch. i'm even thinking of getting the ToC 46" for my living room!

  • A good hybrid TV computer monitor... but watch out for HDMI connection!
    By A1NA6YKYX0LH9U on 2009-12-28
I won't rehash what the monitor is good for. It has all been discussed here. What has NOT been said - and I can't find anybody who's said it at any review site on the web is the reason that I will be returning this monitor:

If you use HDMI input, you are prevented from using any of the color, tint and sharpness controls. If input is anything else (DVI, VGA, TV, etc) you have full control of the picture adjustments. My computer has only HDMI output, and I purchased this monitor specifically to use it as a computer monitor most of the time, and to be hooked up with HDMI. Without being able to adjust the picture, it is useless to me when I edit/print photos. What I see on the screen is nothing like what comes out. I've never had a monitor that could not be calibrated. And if you hook this one up through HDMI, you cannot calibrate it. Each input has its own settings, so you can set all the others to make this a great performer, but you have no control (beyond brightness and contrast) when hooked up through HDMI. If HDMI worked properly, I'd give four stars. -1 for no height adjustment, and hidden controls on the screen's frame. But when the surprise of having no picture controls through HDMI hit me, another star was taken off immediately!

Yes, I can get a DVI-HDMI converter cable. And I can add an audio cable. But my goal was to minimize connections since my computer is a portable that I will use on my desk when home, and as a portable when I head out. I want as few connections as possible. I haven't returned the monitor yet, but I'm really close...

  • Very good set
    By A1NKPJDULR7I9C on 2009-06-23
This is a very good set, except that it does not tilt down.
This is very inconvenient when placed on a shelf at eye level.
    Otherwise, simple to set up.

  • Would recommend
    By A38ZQFZP2VLYRP on 2009-06-04
This is a Fantastic Monitor/TV. The Tuner works very well and picks up everything digital availible over air in my area. Controller in good size and clean. It doesn't have tons of buttons and they are all a semi-large in size. Ports are easily accessible and assembly was simple, it also breaks done nicely for easy tranport as the base comes right off allowing the screen to lay flat. Works well as a monitor, Vista found driver automatically. The device also works well with a Xbox360. Speakers are a little tinny, would recommend getting an external set if you use them alot or listen to high volumn.

I have a few wishes for it though. It does not have a RCA jack, wish it did. Wish the Remote was able to be programmed for different devices along with monitor operation. I also wish it supported picture in picture to able to have watch TV while seeing my desktop.

  • Great Product
    By AHPEVJCHY9B6W on 2009-05-28
This Monitor is a great product at a price thats a steal.

    Pros:
    - Cheap
    - Fantastic Picture (my friend had a 50" Sony, and this is just as good)
    - Has Component cable Inputs (Great for gamers)
    - Can be used as a Computer Monitor or a TV at the click of a button
    - Comes with a VGA cable for your computer
    - Great Sound

  • What I was looking for
    By A322S5YIHGO4YS on 2009-05-11
I upgraded my computer and because I used the old monitor with the new computer I needed another one. After much research I decided to use a flat screen TV as moniter. The old computer has goodies on it I didn't want to lose but only would be use when needed. No Inerent conection. It sits right next to a 26" LCDTV so right now, I watch the Baseball (muted) game on the Samsung tv while watching my favorite TV shows on the 26" TV. The Samsung T220HD was just what I was looking for. All the connections I needed, beautiful picture when ajusted for TV or Computer Monitor. No sound problems. Also very easy to switch between the two. Works great as TV or Computer Monitor. I might add that I have cable so there are no tv reception problems. The tv/computer cable that came with the TV was all I needed to make the computer work so I'm happy. 5 star, I recomend the Touch of Color.

  • Too good... best buy
    By A2JRDFIGWTX50J on 2009-04-24
One of the best products I have purchased in life. Its awesome. Looks cool. Easy to set-up. I played my Quantum of Solace Blu-ray and was amazed with the picture quality. Even the best computer monitor I have seen has not shown picture in such detail. When paused, the picture is as clear as a desktop image.

Overall very pleased with this purchase and would recommend this product to anybody looking around for a HD TV. Note: I compared this product to Sony and other products and found this the best product both in terms of picture quality and price

  • Awesome image, mediocre sound
    By A3AIZM732V1CK9 on 2009-04-08
As other people have pointed out, the built-in speakers are terrible (very tinny sound). But, with an external set of speakers with a sub-woofer, the sound is as great as the image.

I would highly recommend this monitor. It also doubles as a TV and a HD monitor for blu-ray, PS3 or XBox 360. I only give it 4 stars because of the poor quality of the built-in speakers.

  • Samsung 22" TV/Monitor
    By AOFHP06OH4OWE on 2009-02-23
I was looking to replace an analog television in my bedroom. I was concerned 22" was going to be too small, but it's perfect. The picture is extremely clear and the volume noted in other reviews is not a problem in my room. I did quite a bit of research prior to purchasing this TV and couldn't find a price comparable for the quality of this product! I love it!!

  • One great TV

Having put my trust in Samsung products before, I was not disappointed in the performance of this TV. Its just one great set, the picture and sound are awesome.
