Best season yet... By A25O0YZW5Q43Z5 on 2008-07-26
I'm a huge Tibette fan!! I never seen any other actors/actresses who have the best chemistry on screen, like JB and LuH. So after all the drama, the heartache, FINALLY my favorite coupLe in the show are BACK TOGETHER! And hope this time it'll stick! Lots of Laughter this season which I Love! and much more Tibette's Love this season as well! I can't wait to own this DVD! Most importantly, can't wait for the new season, which sadly would be the Last one. I don't know what I'd do when the show ended, although there will be a spin-off, but still don't know which character. Love the L word! :)
Incredible Season!!! By A3UIBKQBKF0PKV on 2008-08-02
The Fifth season of The L Word is a must have for every fans of the show. Yes, Bette and Tina are back together and that is by far the greatest plot of season 5. I just hope that they will be together at the end of season 6....It's a great season. Alice, Tasha, Kit, Shane, Helena, Jodi, Phyllis, Max and of course Jenny are all back. However Papi and Angus are not (Papi will be back in season 6). I give it 4 stars, because i think that season 4 was better.
One of my favorite seasons-Jenny is great!! By A2NK0LVFR30JLH on 2008-08-31
The fifth season of The L Word was probably my second favorite aside from the first season. I loved Jenny's character in this season. She became even more outrageous but I thought she was funny and cute at the same time. The idea of watching them make her book into a movie was great! Because she finally got her book published and now having studios fighting over the rights to her movie...her spoiled girl act was my favorites of all. I don't want to give away any spoilers but I can't believe what Adele did! There's that saying: always watch out for the quiet ones and wow, is that true in this case. The only thing I didn't care for was having Marlie Matlin back in this season. For some reason, I thought she was leaving after the end of the fourth season. I miss Kristanna Loken, who played Shane's love interest in season 4. But Shane is Shane, as I noticed at the end of seasons 3, 4 and 5. But as a Jenny fan, I really liked this season. Even after watching a week's episode, I couldn't help watching the repeat of it, which was right after. Lot of good things were in this season but if you're a Jenny fan, I think you'll really love it!! Did I mention I liked Jenny?
Worst Season Thus Far By A2F8RLMJLJUQQF on 2008-11-23
The only "L Word" fans who could have enjoyed this season are the ones who jumped on the bandwagon with Season 5 being their first viewing, or fans who previously throught the show had too much weight and wanted to see just "more sex." Because that's all this season is. Sex. Normally on a soap opera this isn't the problem, but for those of us who watched the show for the characters, we have sorely missed them since the viewing of season 5. Nobody has learned anything from their past mistakes (Bette), many characters have suddenly regressed (Alice), and most have just completely lost the sense of who they were (Shane). When Chaiken said she was gonna start listening to the fans more, I think a few of us older fans had no idea that included demoting the show to nothing but fivalous eye candy promiscuity with such hokey and corny plots that they couldn't be saved by the few fun things that DID happen! None of the blame can befall the actors, however, who, as always, commit to everything with all they have, but as a viewer everything becomes redundant (the constant "will they or won't they" of tina and bette") and in many cases unbelivable and unrealistic (max's sudden urge to be with men). The show lost a lot of it's bite and dynamic after season 3, however season 4 had it's grace points and a lot of the characters had great storylines, this, sad to say, isn't so of season 5. And it makes me sad to think ANYONE would consider this the best season of "The L Word" yet. I will continue to watch just like one cannot tear their eyes away from a natural disaster, but I hope a show that I used to love will go out with better dignity than it's previous season.

Back atcha love Tibette. Fan forever. (to N.Nln)
Leisha's on the spinoff.
Do you think they will split TiBette up? Do you think they will kill off Ti and Bette will not want to live? Remember the previous split how Bette was in the pool? Hmmm. How do you think the college roommate that got away will figure into this triad in
Season 6 -Jan 2009 on Showtime? Will it be like the JoBetteTi thingy? That didn't end well for Bette, the humiliation factor...but TiBette is together again albeit "I don't want to hurt Jo, no I don't"... thingy. Will it last? Will it be brutal like the CanBette deal? Ti did not like that...no more table flipping, dress ripping scenes I hope. Will baby Angelica whom we see growing up really fast be in college by Season 6? Or will all the main characters split or will they all go off into the sunset together? Will there be a PaKit? Will there be a Sharmen? Will there be a DyHelena? Will there be someone for Alice? What if there was a DanAlice? What if Dana was brought back in Season 6 by way of Alice waking up from a terrible but real dream and dreamt that Dana died but awakes to find she was having a nightmare. (It has happened before on shows like Dallas and the soaps.) Main characters are resurrected all the time via dreamscapes. Maybe IC will do this for DanAlice...What about Phyllis, Max, Tasha and Jenny? What's to become of them? Will Tim reappear with his pregnant swimmer student/wife. Will Marina reappear again? What will happen to Lez Girls? Questions, questions, questions!!! Suspense, intrigue and romance, all the makings of a great harlequin romance novel come to life...stories within stories...yea, TiBette forever.

We absolutely adore the L Word series. This 5th season is not to be missed. We liked it more then last season, and I think the writing has stayed fresh and the storylines remain interesting and intriguing. We are always fully engaged in what's happening to these gals. Like eating chips you cannot just munch on one, the show is addictive to watch. We highly recommend this show, it is a must to see all seasons.

The box set is poorly set up. The episodes listed on the back of each disc case do not match what are on the disc inside. The season itself gets 5 stars though.
- L WORD 5 - GREAT STUFF
     By AJW8IRDPXWLSV on 2008-11-23
I didnt know what to expect for season 5 after the strange ending from season 4. But it does have a little bit of everything and definately keeps you wanting more. Shane's hair is a bit over the top, but other than that its a great season. It does take a few episodes to get into the swing of things. Then finishes with a bang !Great stuff

- The L Word Review
     By A23RG6FBL4LF3S on 2008-11-25
Overall the L Word fifth season was great. As all of the rest of them were. I just have one problem and I don't know how to take care of it. On the last disc of season 5, there were suppose to be three shows. It said so on the inside of the case and the last show on that disc showed what had previously been played. However, I was unable to get anything but the last show on disc 5 to play. Nothing else showed up. So I believe that I got a disc that was not copied right. It ruined seeing the last disc because it showed things we actually hadn't seen ourselves. Please tell me what I can do about this. I don't like paying for things and not getting all of it. Thank you.

     By AE9NP2WIYTMI9 on 2008-11-26
Wonderfull. Great acting especially by Jeannifer Beals and Laurel Holloman. Great Music. Each episode includes problems and occurances that could happen in everyones lives. Don' we all wish we had a group of friends as loyal as these gals.
- Excellant Season
     By AHKVAT3K36XCT on 2008-11-29
Yet another great season from the L-Word cast. Gotta love the drama.
Only problem that I had was the inserts that lists easch episode for each DVD did not match the episodes on the DVD.
